Cayo Perico Heist DLC Megathread

It's here boys and girls! The Cayo Perico DLC has been released!

"Unlike previous Heists, there is no specific style when it comes to approaching Cayo Perico.

Once you’ve gathered the necessary gear, you can choose to complete as much (or as little) set-up and planning as you want – though be warned that these decisions will, in turn, affect the way the action unfolds. If you want to call in an airstrike or use a cutting torch to burn through steel beams, for example, you would be well advised to put the time in beforehand.
Once all the groundwork is laid down, you can nail down your final details before approaching Cayo Perico. These choices include how you infiltrate and escape the island, your weapons loadouts, air support, and even the operation’s time of day. As a result, no two approaches are alike on subsequent playthroughs. And repeat visits will allow you to heist valuable artifacts and other valuables as they become available.
There is also a load of extra opportunities you can use to play to your advantage, such as breaking into storage lockups to raid hidden stashes of cash and contraband to bolster your bottom-line and fatten up your take. These chances and the tools necessary to complete them will rarely be found in the same place twice – some are only accessible when playing with multiple players, so joining up with friends is very much encouraged."

This Megathread will serve as the place to discuss all things related to the DLC. We will be updating this as more information is released, so keep checking back.

The Heist works very similarly to the Casino Heist. You have to hack cameras and scope out locations.

Important information about gtaonline on the Cayo Perico DLC release day.

On December 15th we will be locking the sub, and all posts will have to be manually approved by the moderators. The reason is to control the flood of posts regarding the new DLC.
We will have a new Megathread up that morning for posts regarding the DLC, and most posts regarding the new DLC will be removed and directed to the Megathread.
The Megathread will be regularly updated throughout the morning of the DLC release with links to official information, and any important info on the DLC that comes out, like when the update is live for each platform, the payouts, vehicles, costs, etc... and may have a sticky post dedicated solely to the cost of the new vehicles, properties, etc...
Expect the lock-down of the sub to happen around, or slightly before, 5AM EST on the 15th.
We expect there to be hundreds of posts or more per hour that morning, so it may take the mods a bit of time to go through and approve posts that aren't DLC related, so we ask for some patience that day.

Cayo Perico / End of 2020 De-Brief

Hello everyone, happy new year!
With recent release of Cayo Perico but not much else I wanted to touch base with the community holding out for GTA Online in Liberty City or Vice City, and debrief from the Cayo Perico DLC.
Even though Cayo Perico came out unexpectedly (to us), it is a small but welcome addition to the GTA Online world.
I believe that we still have reason to cling onto hope that that Liberty City will sooner rather than later, and Cayo Perico is a stepping stone to that demonstrating the map expansions are possible.
While I no longer think that we will see a remastered city come this generation of console, but we still have GTA V "Expanded and Enhanced" coming in 2021 which may have much more than just GTA V itself.

Reasons why I think that GTA V "Expanded and Enhanced" is more than just GTA V with updated graphics

  1. GTA V XB1 & PS4 versions already work fine in XBSX/XBSS/PS5. It looks and runs great, similar to a PC level of detail/performance. Why would a significant update be needed if it will be much the same if they didn't have big plans on top of that?
  2. Cayo Perico proves that Rockstar's idea of "Expanded" can mean land expansion
  3. Cayo Perico sounds like it was more a like a side project during COVID-19 WFH than something in the works for a long time. It is not unreasonable to think that Rockstar, with all their global studios now merged together, haven't been working on something big since the bulk of RDR2 was finished.
Source: https://www.gq-magazine.co.uk/culture/article/gta-online-cayo-perico-heist
  1. Why are they being so vague about the details, even to go as far as using a PS3 trailer for it... are they doing this because they are hiding something? Even being so far to be anticlimactic to take off the pressure from fans, and surprise us later.
What Cyberpunk 2077 has taught the overall gaming community lately is what happens when you overpromise and underdeliver. However Rockstar already learnt this lesson back in 2015 when they promised Heists in GTA Online, which kept being reworked and delayed until near the end of the PS3/360 generation and copped a lot of criticism for it.
Basically every social media comment was "Where are the Heists", fans were frustrated. From that time onwards they never released details until about 2 weeks out from launch for a DLC. RDR2 was a bit longer, but only because they had other partners to consider. For this they originally gave it 1 year from announcement to release date, but it was delayed to 2 years, with PC one more year after that (which also wasn't even announced until one month before that).
Here is a quote about what went wrong with Heists:
We aren’t ready to give an official release date yet, but we are confident they will be ready early in 2015. As you may have read on IGN, Heists were a much bigger challenge to create than we had originally anticipated. Early versions were simply not good enough and had to be scrapped more than once as we honed in on how we thought they should work. We’re happy to say that the pack we are now finalizing is something we are excited by and eager to release as soon as it is ready. We, as a company, have always been about trying to make something that is good rather than hitting a date. We apologize when this gets frustrating but firmly believe that rushing out second-rate content does not do anyone any favors. Hopefully you agree that yesterday’s new Trailer is a sign that Heists are shaping up nicely, but we still need some time to fine tune them. Because we need a little time to get Heists right, we are going to give you a small Christmas gift to keep you entertained until we are done with them.

Reasons why I think something related to Liberty City is most likely to be the next major GTA Online expansion to come

  1. GTA IV & EFLC is highly regarded as a masterpiece, it's fanbase is still strong - many still prefer it to GTA V for a variety reasons, so it is a good candidate for a remaster. They can always make the GTA IV car physics, ragdoll, etc. come back again, perhaps as a user configurable option. Having the map there is the gateway to bringing these highly valued games back to a new generation.
Their games always start with the map, source: https://www.mcvuk.com/development-news/inside-rockstar-north-part-1-the-vision/
  1. The availability of GTA IV is terrible. It is only a Backwards Compatibility title on Xbox One (non Enhanced), runs like rubbish on PC - performance wise (and multiplayer is now removed), and the PS4 & PS5 doesn't have it at all. Most other GTAs are available for purchase, at least on Mobile.
  2. GTA V is now 7 years old and the GTA fanbase is now bigger than ever thanks to GTA V & Online. A lot of new fans haven't had the opportunity to experience GTA IV because of the above availability issue. The new fans are desperate for a new (to them) GTA game, especially since it doesn't look like GTA6 is coming any time soon. Or maybe I'm wrong and 6 is coming soon as well?
  3. GTA Online is progressively getting new content referencing to Liberty City or content ported from Liberty City (i.e The Tugboat, QUB3D), so they are not above re-using GTA IV assets or dropping hints.
  4. It is clear that they have been taking the "lazy" route as far as making new content for GTA Online DLCs by re-using existing assets. Don't get me wrong there is still a lot of work involved, but still it is less work than starting from scratch.
But it would make sense that they will continue their more recent M.O. to re-use existing assets rather than start from scratch to save time, effort and cost.
  1. With high profile departures of the writers such as Leslie Benzies, Dan Houser & Lazlow there is no doubt going to be a brain drain. I'm sure they were working on stuff before their departures, and I'm sure that RockstaTake-Two with all their billions of dollars will be able to find other top talent to bring GTA into a new era, but this will take time, and they can get things out in the meantime. The story of GTA IV, Map & other assets are already made, so this gives them a head start to put out games while they rediscover their Mojo to make GTA6 using new talent.
  2. GTA Online is a Big Money Maker, it will make the GTA IV & ELFC remaster worth it because the remastered map will be used for both GTA IV & Online: LC (maybe slight map differences according to time period).
  3. Why did they put so much effort into issuing cease and desists to OpenIV team for OpenIV's LCinV project (even though it used original game files, no piracy) if they weren't planning on doing something in this space themselves.
  4. Cayo Perico aside (which is still quite small), Los Santos as the primary setting of GTA Online is still a bit stale after 7 years. They can't use 2013 Los Santos forever, surely. Not to mention that a new GTA release is already well overdue.

GTA IV Music Licensing speculation/hints

A little while back, a lot of music track licenses expired and they were pulled from the PC version, most notably Vladivostok FM was most affected with most songs removed.
They put in some new tracks to replace it, which wasn't quite as good but it seemed like that was as good as it's going to get.
But then they went ahead and relicensed the original tracks anyway so all the music is now restored again (about 16 months after being originally cut).
Why go though all that expense of relicensing all that music if they aren't planning to capitalise on it in a big way?

Cayo Perico speculation/hints

Not much here directly, but I have played with it a little bit.
The way that it's programmed is interesting. As far as I can tell, travel to the island is sharing a session with Free Mode rather than being a different game mode, which you can tell by seeing the player list stay the same as whoever is in the Freemode session you were in. There is no loading of a different game mode, it is just a cut scene. On PC you can even chat to people who are still in Los Santos.
When you look at the map, you are located South-East of LS (just past USS Luxington), and if you move the mouse you can get locations of LS show up, it's just the map itself which is hidden.
There is a glitch you can do to "free roam" the whole Island, or just go to the Beach Party standalone, it is clear that you are in Free Mode of an existing Los Santos based lobby.
When I was glitched, I was able to take a Dinghy back to LS, LS was visible. about halfway there, the whole Cayo Perico just de-spawned similar to how the USS Luxington does, and also the weathenight cycle changed instantly too.
When I was glitched but still on the Island, a whole bunch of functions were disabled like spawning cars, calling contacts, etc.
What this shows me is that perhaps they are experimenting with how integration with Future GTA Maps will look like.
Instead of loading a whole different game, or loading a different game mode, it could be one big Free Mode made up of all locations, the locations can not be directly accessed without triggering a cut scene, and the properties of how a Free Mode works can change depending on what location on the broader map you are in.
One challenge I anticipate is that they wouldn't want GTA$ earned in LS to be transferred to a totally new GTA Online area. It is well known that a lot of it glitched and they'd want us to start getting rich again. They have also been experimented with holding separate currencies such as Arena Points or Casino Chips. I could imagine that they come up with a storyline where all your GTA$ Cash gets deposited into Maze Bank but then can't be withdrawn to cash or moved to another bank, and in LC you are forced to use a competing bank like the Bank of Liberty. Basically LS = only get Maze Bank, LC = only get Bank of Liberty.
Cars/Planes etc. Can be not widely transferable (i.e. You MKII or Babushka holding a car has engine failure mid flight and crashes, or maybe you need to go to the Airport marker on food), and maybe some planes (i.e. Luxor) can enter on a visiting basis via. Cutscene of that vehicle but can't be saved at the destination into a personal hangar.

Final words

I hope this gives some good for thought.
Keep speculating! At least until we get some solid info
Here's to 2021.

[TIMELINE] Analyzing The Past to Predict the Future - Everything We Should Consider on the Road to GTA VI

[TIMELINE] Analyzing The Past to Predict the Future - Everything We Should Consider on the Road to GTA VI
[QUICK MOD NOTE] This post was originally posted by Lenlfc on GTAforums, original post here. ALL CREDIT GOES TO HIM FOR ALLOWING ME TO DO THIS. It's extremely detailed and extensive, but it also gives a full look at previous leaks and speculation about GTA V, RDR 2, and the upcoming GTA VI. It's well worth your read if you're at all interested in speculation and leaks for GTA VI, considering it has a lot of information about how Rockstar has done things in the past, and how they may do things with GTA VI. It also has all of the confirmed information we have for GTA VI, like everyone has been asking for. Enjoy!
LENLFC will also be updating his original GTAForum's post often when new, reliable information comes out that is worth adding to his timeline.
TL:DR: This is very long. Please don't be mean if you think I went too far. I just wanted to be as detailed as possible, and compile as much evidence and proof as possible, so we can work out the most accurate and likely scenario. I've never done anything like this before. So please be kind.
Hi. So, Red Dead Redemption 2 has come and gone. Feels like forever we waited for it. Hard to believe it released almost 4 months ago. It's that time when many of us will start looking forward to the next Rockstar game. I have been on this site since the first leaks for GTA V popped up online. In that time, I have watched fairly quietly, barely getting involved. I've read a lot, and enjoyed it all, but never actively helped out. I want to warn you all that this post will be pretty lengthy, and as I'm not a regular poster, my formating or writing may not be the best. But I'm a big fan of Rockstar Games, and have a weird fascination with remembering small things. So I wanted to try my best to compile everything we know about how Rockstar go about making their games, what they have done in the past and do some crazy conspiracy theory like deducing to try to predict when, where and how we can find clues to GTA VI, and when they may announce or release it.
Firstly, I'd like to credit and thank Dan Dawkins. Many of you may not know who he is, but long story short, he's a journalist, and back in July 2011 he wrote an article in the magazine PSM3. In the article he predicted many things about GTA V (some correct, some incorrect) he researched all the available data and pooled it together, and used that to speculate about GTA V. That was a massive influence on me growing up, on how to speculate responsibly and use common sense to work out where a game or series may go next. So thank you, Dan!

FACTS

Now, onto the main topic. What do we know about GTA VI? Not a lot. Dan Houser recently said that they're thankful they're not releasing GTA VI while Trump is in office. While he's never actually quoted as saying they won't release it while Trump is in office, I think journalists used that for a catchy headline. But the point remains. GTA is heavily based on British satire of USA. The current political climate makes it very difficult for them to do this. If we take it literally, GTA VI won't release until 2021 or 2025, depending on how long he is in office. Unless I have my dates wrong. I'd be willing to bet they had 2021 in mind. However, my personal take on this was that Dan simply meant "thank god we're not releasing GTA VI in 2018" And knowing it'l take them years to even release their next game, Trump will no longer be President.
We also know Rockstar Games will make another GTA. And that is about it. If there is anything else concrete, that we know, that I have missed please let me know.

THE PAST

GTA V TIMELINE
Here's where we start digging and look to the past, what Rockstar has done before and try our best to work out their timelines and how they go about things. Now, in order to do this, I'd like to begin with GTA V, as that is when Rockstar Games transitioned into the one big game every 5 years, as opposed to the game every year studio.
April 20th 2009 the first ever build for GTA V was created. I'm not sure if this is when development officially began, or just the date of the first build. Either way, I doubt there is much difference. They were busy working on TBoGT at that point, having just released TLaD 2 months prior. This was discovered from the Build Log. I will go into detail on this later. However this wasn't discovered until 2014, I just thought it was worth putting here to stamp the timeline.
The earliest rumors for GTA V began on July 26th 2010, with reports of Rockstar researching locations in and around Hollywood. Rockstar declined to comment on this, saying they don't comment on "rumors and speculation". To this day we still don't know if this was legit, or otherwise. However the game did end up being set in Los Santos. So it was either true or coincidentally correct.
Next came the domain name leaks on February 25th 2011. That date might be off by a couple of days, but the original GTA V Leak Topic has it dated to the 25th. (Fun fact, this is the leak and topic where I signed up to GTAForums!) Very GTA sounding website names. After GTA IV introduced the internet to us, it was no surprise to think GTA V would expand on that, and the domain names registered sounded right out of a GTA game. This was proven true, as the websites did appear in game.
On March 8th 2011 more fuel was added to the GTA V fire, when the codenamed "Rush" casting call was leaked online. Like the website, they sounded like something out of a GTA game.
This was further expanded on the 29th of March when Take Two put out a private casting call, further hinting at development on GTA V being well underway.
October 5th 2011 In an Asked & Answered article, 2 users asked about the next GTA, with Rockstar replying with the following
“When are we going to see a new GTA????? #bestgameever” - received via Twitter“When's the new grand theft auto coming out?” - received via Twitter
Big, big shout to all Grand Theft Auto fans worldwide who we know are anxious to hear about what’s next for the franchise but we don’t have any news at this time. All we can say is, right now, we’re focused on our next upcoming releases which are Max Payne 3 as well as L.A. Noire for PC, Red Dead Redemption Game of the Year Edition and Max Payne for mobile devices. When and if we have anything to report regarding the Grand Theft Auto franchise, you know that we’ll do so here at the Newswire or on our Twitter or Facebook.
And then it happened. GTA V was officially announced on October 25th 2011 at 12pm BST, linked below.
https://twitter.com/RockstarGames/status/128788090969001984?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E128788090969001984&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fgtaforums.com%2Findex.php%3Fapp%3Dcore%26module%3Dsystem%26controller%3Dembed%26url%3Dhttps%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2FRockstarGames%2Fstatus%2F128788090969001984%3Fs%3D20
This announcement came only 20 days after saying the above on October 5th 2011
This goes to show that Rockstar can say one thing, then surprise us weeks later.
The first trailer then debuted on November 2nd 2011
Everything past this point, until release I feel is not relevant to this discussion. It is more to do with post announce schedules and marketing, and when to expect news or updates or trailers for an already announced major game. If this topic does well, I could add it, or put it in a spoiler box so it's optional detail. Otherwise the next points worth talking about come into play upon release, and where Rockstar go after this.
September 17th 2013 GTA V finally releases. We rejoice.
October 1st 2013, two weeks after the launch of GTA V GTA Online launches.
This is where it gets interesting and complicated. We know now that their next game was Red Dead Redemption 2. However, Rockstar weren't finished with GTA V. Many people claim that Rockstar stopped caring about their fans and gamers, citing images like these
You can actually pinpoint the year Rockstar discovered microtransactions.
Now, I bring these up, as it is important to understand just how Rockstar now operate. Love it or hate it, but GTA Online has allowed Rockstar to not release games as often. Allowing them to work on one game as Rockstar Studios, where they all work together, instead of separate teams, like Rockstar North (GTA) and Rockstar San Diego (RDR) for example. The income from GTA Online has seemingly allowed them to spend 5 years working on Red Dead Redemption 2, perfecting a masterpiece. Allowing them to make the game they wanted, and allowing them to take all the time necessary to innovate and make a living breathing world even more so than GTA V did.
Some time in January 2014 the GTA V Build Log was found. Apparently it was on the game disc, and dedicated fans dug into the files and found it. I bring this up, as it reveals some key interesting details. such as the date of the first GTA V build/when GTA V development began. This is important as we can use this information later to try to work out when they may start their next project.
Throughout 2014 Rockstar were hard at work developing the PC, PS4 & Xbox One versions of the game. I don't know how much work that would be, but they weren't simple upres versions of the game. They included new features and plenty of big enhancements. The PC version was delayed into 2015 for added polish. And leslie Benzies took a sabbatical on September 1st, for 17 months.
The next key detail to note is from January 2016, I think. Leslie Benzies leaves Rockstar North. I feel this is important to note, as it could have delayed a lot of Rockstars plans, as a lot of staff left with him, Rockstar would go on to deal with a lawsuit which could only be an unnecessary distraction. There was a topic here on GTAForums discussing it. Needless to say the whole situation was pretty shady and the details don't really matter too much.
Rockstar had also planned single player DLC for GTA V, multiple datamines suggested 3 packs, as well as Ash735 on Neogaf confirming this. We can take this with a grain of salt, but if it were made up, then it's a pretty dull and uninteresting thing to make up.
They had also promised Heists for GTA Online, which was quickly becoming very popular. I personally believe (And this is where speculation begins) that the SP DLC was the unfortunate victim in all of this. They HAD to get the next gen versions out, as if you're launching an online game, you can't rely on players sticking with old consoles when the next gen consoles launch only 2 months after GTA Online launches. They had to get Heists out, which were promised before the entire game even released. More so than the SP DLC, which was just a closing line on a Newswire article, albeit multiple times. And development on their next game ramping up, going into full production, combined with the restructuring of Rockstar North due to Leslie Benzies leaving... SP DLC may have been an unfortunate victim.

Roger Clark: "My first day on the project was in August of 2013. With the context of this particular installment, I was the first to come on, apart from Rob and Ben who worked on the previous chapter."
4th September 2014 Rockstar San Diego start hiring for next gen consoles. They allegedly went on a hiring spree for an upcoming project. Which we would later find out to be Red Dead Redemption 2.
December 11th 2014 Actor Jorge Consejo posts a selfie on Instagram, wearing a typical mocap or performance capture suit. However it doesn't match the one used in GTA V
September 2015, [Original Source] Rockstar started hiring for more jobs. They seem to relate to a stealth based game, but so far they haven't released anything that would indicate what they were hired for.
Then the leaks start happening...
November 29th 2015 An ex Rockstar employee hints that RDR2 is their next project. The infamous “Really, Dumbass. Really? Two“ comment by Danny Ross, on Reddit. Archive of actual post
April 13th 2016 the map for RDR 2 leaks on NeoGaf. This was unprecedented. The map for a huge open world Rockstar Games game has never leaked online 6 month before the game was even announced. Link to the map.
October 18th 2016 Rockstar finally announce Red Dead Redemption 2, after teasing in the days leading up to the 18th.
July 27th 2017 Stuntman, Tim Neff's online resume leaks that he worked on RDR2 and GTA VI. He denied involvement in RDR2, but claimed he worked on GTA V, and that it was a mistake. He also had personal instagram photos from Rockstar San Diego, with captions strongly suggesting he was there for work. He denied it, saying it was just a photo taken outside that anyone could take. He quickly removed them. He was not credited in GTA V, but by RDR2's release he is indeed credited in RDR2.
Friday September 29th 2017 A reddit user posted a thread mentioning a recent leak which had been deleted. I do not know the date that it was originally posted. But it was over a year before the game released. And was entirely accurate. these leaks will serve a purpose later on.
December 25th 2017 GTAForums User @Jabalous brings to our Attention the actor Jorge Consejo, his previously mentioned Instagram selfie, and his CV/Resume. Which mentions min being in GTA 6, playing the role "The Mexican" (Featured).
CGI meaning motion capture work, etc.
In April of 2018, I'm not sure of the date, maybe the 18th? The article has since been removed. But I copied the article into a notepad file. Trustedreviews.com published an article based of a memo and some notes about the game. They claimed to have received this information in August 2017, but didn't post it due to fears it was fake. It wasn't until Rockstar released a screenshot that matched one that they had also received that they decided to publish this information, now believing it to be genuine. Here is an image of the text copy of the article (reddit formatting issues)
November 1st 2018 Rockstar sue TrustedReviews for £1M Essentially proving the leak to be true. Although the game itself proves it to be true, it's interesting that Rockstar sued for that much. Or sued at all.
January 6th 2019 Rockstar start hiring for next generation
Rockstar's career opening page - Credit to @el carlitos for that one!
-----------------------------------------------Unconfirmed Speculation-----------------------------------------------
January 30th (Specific date still debatable) Film Florida have guest Leah Sokolowsky on their podcast. She briefly mentions a recent change in her work
Recently as you're aware we've had a change in the types of productions that are coming to our state. So I've also been very fortunate to get a large client that has hired me to arrange basically site tours and visits. It's uh digital media company. And I've signed an NDA so I can't disclose who it is. But they've been exploring various areas of our state, and of other states in the south east. And I've been planning and arranging those visits for their personnel and that's been kind of a very interesting expansion of what I normally do, as well.
Here's the link to that quote.
It's suggested this is Take Two Interactive/Rockstar Games, as a reddit user claimed on October 6th 2019 scouts were looking around his area, and asked for permission to take photographs of the building. Which was later followed up by a photograph of an alledged document/contract as proof on October 8th 2019
-----------------------------------------------End of Unconfirmed Speculation-----------------------------------------------
February 13th 2019 VP of product development Jeronimo Barrera departs Rockstar Games after 20 years. This might not seem anything significant, but it's one of his quotes that I think it very important.
"If I had stayed at Rockstar it would have been more GTAs, more RDRs and less of this other stuff going on out there right now." While that is nothing concrete. It does indicate that Rockstar will be working on Red Dead and GTA for the foreseeable future. That won't surprise many of us, but it's just a little detail that gives us hope that GTA is next, and not another franchise like Bully, L.A. Noire or Max Payne, for example.
April 18th 2019 a former Rockstar India employee has mention of creating vehicles for GTA V and upcoming GTA 6 in his artstation resume Thanks to ApolloThunder's post.
Now those are the most important details I feel. Now I may have missed some other details people might find important. In August of 2017 the stunt actor Tim Neff was involved in a alleged leak for RDR2 & GTA 6. It was quickly 'debunked' Although many believed there were holes in the methods used to debunk it. And his removal of Instagram photos taken at Rockstar San Diego was suspicious to many users. I do not believe it holds enough water to use it as any evidence. But we can use it to speculate.
July 9th 2019 Jorge Consejo likes and quotes a tweet about him being in GTA 6

Now We Use All This Information to Speculate

The first clues we should look for are reports of Rockstar scouting locations. We know from articles and or interviews that Rockstar take thousands of photographs when creating their worlds, so any reports of Rockstar Staff i researching locations should be a very good indication. However, they can be very secretive.
Same goes for Rockstar or Take Two registering domain names or sending out casting calls. So far we've heard nothing of the sort. again, we don't always hear these things. I don't recall hearing anything about casting for RDR2 at any point between 2012 & 2016.
Combined with the fact that Rockstar only just released RDR2 4 months ago. I think it's pretty safe to sat development on their next game hasn't fully begun yet, or will do very soon. If we look back to the build log for GTA V, they created the first build on April 20th 2009. pretty much one year after GTA IV released. By that logic the first build for GTA VI would have been created in September 2014, right? Well, considering they had to work on the next gen and PC versions for so long. I'd wager they started much, much later. We know that these days Rockstar operate as Rockstar Studios, all working together on one game at a time. But if the NeoGaf user is to be believed, pre production for GTA VI began in 2012, which is actually entirely believable. As Rockstar began work on RDR2 almost immediately after RDR1. "In early 2011, Dan began chatting with Rockstar San Diego about how Red Dead Redemption 2 would look and who the characters would be. Late that summer, he says, he had a “broad outline and rough flow of the game defined.” By fall 2012, his team had completed rough scripts for many of the game’s missions and started doing read-throughs on video conference calls with directors of game play, art design, and animation from Rockstar offices around the world. " Source
Now, unlike Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto is not a game about specific characters, like RDR is with John and Dutch's gang. So It's safe to say after GTA V, the Housers did not sit down and come up with scripts or ideas for GTA 6 revolving around those characters. But never say never. They could use this as an opportunity to bring back Michael Franklin & Trevor, working of some of the ideas for the Story DLC for GTA V, instead of scrapping it entirely. For the first time ever, GTA could be a direct sequel using the same protagonists. This however, I believe to be incredibly unlikely. But I thought it was worth mentioning.
So, they've finished RDR2. What Are Rockstar doing now? I believe they're hard at work on the PC version of the game. Many people don't believe it will release on PC, citing the fact that RDR1 never released on PC as evidence. I don't believe that is fair, as we know RDR1 was a mess, and was in such a bad state that they were lucky to release it at all. Rumours and alleged leaks stated the game was a coded mess, and they weren't willing to go through all the hassle of porting it to PC. We also know PC games typically have a high paracy rate, and Rockstar aren't fond of spending all that development time and cost on such an effort for little reward. Here's a clip of Lazlow talking about releasing their games on PC, and joking wanting to make their money back first. It's from 2010, right before RDR1 released. I think he was making a joke, but hiding the truth in there. Which leads me to believe that RDR2 could come to PC, but in order to make their money on that, also release it on PS5 & the Next Xbox, like they did for GTA V. Considering the gap between GTA V on PS3 & 360 and GTA V on PC (19 months) we could see a similar gap with RDR2 on PC. If that is the case, we could see a PC release in May 2020. At which point next gen consoles would likely have been announced, assuming Sony repeat their February reveal as they did with PS4. Or soon to be revealed at E3 a month later. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that they re release on Next gen with native 4K on PS5, higher frame rates, or other enhanced features. Next gen consoles will be backwards compatible, but if they want to keep RD Online going, a newer version with higher player counts could be a good option.
Speaking of next gen consoles, until specs are set in stone, I don't think Rockstar will announce anything. Dev Kits are allegedly being sent to some developers right now. Sony first party studios are already working on PS5 games. Guerilla, for example. I'd wager Sony's relationship with Rockstar is a good bet to think they have them, too. So, what does this mean?
Well, let's look at when Rockstar announced RDR2. 18th October 2016. 18 months after the PC release of GTA V, 3 years, 1 month after the initial release of GTA V. Lets assume they stick to a similar pattern, both GTA V & RDR2 were announced in October. It could be a good bet for what month to expect an announcement. However, GTA IV was announced in May 2006, with Peter Moore's infamous Tattoo. So...
Now let's look at when Rockstar started hiring for RDR2, which was September 2014. It took them 2 years to announce their next game. And they had the base map planned out within 19 months. We just don't know when the photo of the map was taken, just when it was leaked to the public (april 2016). But we do know Rockstar always start with the world. For GTA V, that discussion started as GTA IV was wrapping up – almost five years ago – although the latest game has been in full production for just three years.
“It comes from the idea first,” Benzies tells us in his office at the studio.
Where is it going to be set is the first question. Then that defines the missions; you’re doing different things in LA than in New York or Miami. The map and story get worked up together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the missions in. Source
I think we can safely say that Rockstar already know where the game will be set, and Aaron Garbut is already hard at work at creating a concept of a map. If he hasn't already.
Based of that information, I'd say Rockstar are hiring for their next game, which will be PS5 and Next Xbox exclusive, Likely to be GTA 6, and will need 2 - 3 years of development before they are able to reveal it with a trailer. Putting the game at a 2021 - 22 reveal, with a 2023 - 24 release. I do believe the upcoming generation, and Rockstars desire to outdo themselves every time will only slow them down. Their games take so long to develop, and I can't see them putting out GTA 6 in the same timeframe as GTA V, from GTA IV. More likely to be similar, if not longer than GTA V to RDR2.

The Leaks

Remember when I said the leaks would serve a purpose later on? I find it highly suspicious that Rockstar had leaks as substantial as they had for RDR2, when they never had anything to that level before. They are usually incredibly watertight. So let's speculate as to why...

The Benz.

Isn't it strange how such a long time influential figure at Rockstar North was fired, and then leaks start popping up for their next game? It's no secret that there was more to his firing that we initially thought. Things went really bad between The Benz and The Housers. I think when he left the company, and many of his staff left, too. A lot of disgruntled employees may has decided to spill the beans on their next game out of spite. The entire game map leaking 6 months before the game was even announced, Epilogue spoilers down to finite details such as building a house or birthing a foal? Way too specific, and that's never happened for a Rockstar game before. I just find that suspicious.
So, why is that relevant to GTA 6? Well, it may end up not being relevant at all. But then I remembered the leak from last year, that stated GTA 6 was set in Vice City. Back then, I didn't believe it at all, as it was way too detailed for a game that wasn't even announced, and wouldn't be announced for at least 2 more years. Likely double that. Plus why did they choose The Know? And an anonymous source is always suspicious. But hey, nobody would be dumb enough to give their actual identity if it were legit.
But then I started thinking a while ago, at how detailed the RDR2 leaks were, and maybe, just maybe the person who tipped off The Know was legit, and the info was based of what was in pre production from 2012 [Unofficial Source]. The more I thought about it, I realized that Vice City, with the concept of crossing the border to South America is a simple enough concept that could have been decided upon during pre production (the world is the first thing they decide, remember?)

Why Vice City

2 reasons why it's starting to feel like a likely location. Reason one, GTA Online. They introduced businesses and gunrunning into GTA Online, and a lot of people enjoy that stuff. Vice City would be a great location to create content around that concept. I don't believe Rockstar would pick a location based on what would make Online popular, but after GTA Online's huge popularity after GTA V, they'd be stupid to ignore it. Reason 2 was the quote Dan Houser gave about not releasing GTA 6 during Trumps presidency. Again, I believe it's taken a little out of context, but it's his words about satirising America is what caught my eye.
"Both intense liberal progression and intense conservatism are both very militant, and very angry. It is scary but it’s also strange, and yet both of them seem occasionally to veer towards the absurd," Houser said. "It’s hard to satirize for those reasons. Some of the stuff you see is straightforwardly beyond satire. It would be out of date within two minutes, everything is changing so fast." Source
Then there was this quote from Leslie Benzies, also covered in The Knows video:
IGN Source
Any chance that Vice City might return in a future GTA?
It is always a possibility. There are a few references to the city in our current-gen GTAs so it is part of that HD universe, and it is certainly somewhere we would love to revisit. However Vice City, perhaps more than any other GTA game, was as much about the era as the setting. Miami in the 1980’s is so iconic it would feel strange to revisit the city in a different time period.
exploring grand theft auto vice citys lasting impact on gamer culture with rockstars leslie benzies city cover. Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas, and in that context reimagining Vice City would be very interesting.
So according to Rockstar, albeit someone who is no longer at Rockstar, it would be strange to go back to Vice City in a modern day setting. If you combine that with what Dan Houser said about parodying America today, and how difficult that would be, is it possible that the next game could be set in the past? Again, combining those quotes, with alleged leaks, and the possibility for fun and exciting gameplay and Online experiences... Vice City is an incredibly likely setting.
The only problem is GTA 6 going into pre production in 2012. If the location was decided upon then. It would either be a happy coincidence, or they may have changed the location. Or, it never was Vice City, and this speculation is clever, but ultimately wrong.
One key piece of information is the Neogaf user, who allegedly states that it WON'T be Vice City. Citing that production notes going around when he still worked there stated possible locations and concepts. And that it is likely one of the 4 options listed in the quoted thread.
Small town gta - tight stories, scheduled characters, ridiculous levels of ambience, every home interior modelled. Every building enterable. More realism - if your wanted you are on the run for a while.
Vegas 1970s- CASINO?
Somewhere snowy - chicago/detroit
Mexico City
You have to consider that what they may have decided in 2012 changed, due to the popularity of GTA Online. They could have chosen a smaller, more detailed interactive world. But due to Online, decided they needed a larger world. Or the location wasn't right due to modern politics and ability to satarise, etc.
I do think GTA could return to the past eventually. Sam Houser has an incredible knowledge of pop culture, and is very intelligent. It would work well for them to go back to an older setting for a GTA game again. That isn't proof of that, or even a solid reason for them to do a prior setting. His knowledge can be used in any setting, past or present. But it's an interesting piece of information to think about.
Another possibility is Dan's words were as simple as GTA 6 won't release while Trump is in office, and therefore GTA 6 will be set in the present day, but by then the political climate may have settled down, or they think/hope things will be different by then, and what they choose to parody will be easier. i don't know.

How about Las Venturas?

For the past few months, I've been thinking about the possibility of GTA 6 being set in Las Venturas. It's one of the locations mentioned as a possibility by @Ash_735 It's also a location that would be quite large, although not hugely diverse. However creative freedoms could solve that. If they return to a past setting as theorised. Then Las Venturas in the 70's or 80's could be seen as a pretty cool option. Like a lot of people, I'm a fan of Joe Rogan. Recently he had a guest on his podcast, Bob lazar. Whether you believe him or not is irrelevant. But he tells some interesting stories about working near Area 51, and working on alien UFO's. that really got me thinking... Wouldn't that be a perfect location for Rockstar to have some fun with? GTA V and RDR2 both featured UFO easter Eggs. There was a lot of mysteries tied to Mt. Chiuliad and Fort Zancudo. Can you imagine Area 69 returning, and what Rockstar may do with that? Now I fully understand that saying they may do a certain location, based of nothing other than easter eggs is a bit silly, but what else do we have? However, it does tie in with the notes (Vegas 1970's Casino?). Before RDR2 we never believed Rockstar would create a game, and build of a previous games map. After RDR2, we now know it's possible. I'm still not convinced they'd do it with GTA, as the GTA series is always an island, whereas RDR1 was a landlocked location. However, it is possible, however unlikely that they could build of Southern San Andreas and go east to Las venturas.

NEXT UPDATE SPECULATION

Next week's podium vehicle: Deathbike (there are only 4 vehicles left, the Deathbike, the Sugoi, the S80RR (since July 2019) and the V-STR, (since December 2019), but the last two are on the list for a long time. Also, it will probably be like that because next week will be an Arena War Week (according to rockstar games that said that next week, the Arena War class that will be played most of the time in the gamemodes gets a 50% discount. Date: The update will be probably be released at the 6th/13th of August because of next week's discounts and the podium list (if there is no vehicle left, the update will be released (they normally update the list if there are still cars left and the S80RR and the V-STR are on the list since ages and they are probably there so you cant predict it 100%). Also, if it would be on the 30th of July, we would get a trailer on the 25th of July (because the casino update teaser was released 5 days before the update, but there was no teaser trailer for the casino heist.) But it could also be a surprise DLC Topic: You can't really be sure about the topic, a leaker (Jan224) could have "teased" us, but maybe I interpreted it wrong and it won't be a police DLC. Other information: Songs of the band City Morgue will be in gta online soon. (so a new radio station will also be released). R* and City Morgue posted this on Instagram a year ago where they said there would be songs of them in summer 2020.) CONCLUSION: There will be the Deathbike and 50% discounts on a type of Arena War vehicles next week (Nightmare /Apocalypse /Future Shock). We can't be really sure about the other things. The update release date will probably be the 6th of August (or the 27th of August if every podium vehicle is getting used) Thank you for reading this.

My theory for GTA online

My theory for GTA online
So everyone is very much furious and annoyed that R* decided to show GTA 5 trailer at sony's PS5 event. Even if you've been living under a rock, if you just go to any of their social media pages you can see fans being very angry at the announcement. However at the very end if the trailer they mentioned "Expanded and enhanced" and thia is my theory on what i feel it means.
For GTA online we've been getting a DLC every year. We got heists update in 2015, bikers dlc in 2016, I/E, smuggler's run and doomsday in 2017, after hours and arena wars in 2018 and the diamond casino heist update in 2019. Needless to say looking at the pattern we can expect a new dlc update this year, also the fact that wendy is a contact on our phones but does nothing now proves the point that there is going to be a DLC involving her(speculation).
I think that the whole "Expanded and enhanced" thing means that we are going to get a map expansion. Now hear me out, the present map is okay but it's just one major city paired with a countryside area. If you just go online and look at the bucketlist fans want in GTA6 two most prominent thing that pops up is more locations to explore and more interiors to explore. There is this possibility that one sane person at R* would have mentioned that it's been 7 years and we are still playing with the same map, atleast expanding the current map and providing more interactive interiors for the online mode would be a good idea.
Now here's my theory of which map/city would be added to the current map in GTAO. I think they'd add Las venturas to the current map. For those of you who are too young to know what las venturas is, it was a major city in GTA San andreas, the only other game to have los santos. Las venturas is based on Las vegas and in GTA SA you had the option of going to multiple casinos and gambling your money away. GTAO has added the diamond casino feature and it has been amazing and almost everyone likes it. The fact that you could win a new car every week or make money through luck has been a n absolute pleasure. Not to forget the casino heist and agatha's missions. So it only makes sense that R* would add something more like it and what better place to add than a city where you can find more casinos than normal buildings.
What do you think? Which city do you think would be added to GTAO?
P. S:- Again this is just speculation and my theory of what i believe R* might do. I do not have access to any inside information nor do i have information from ex-R* employees.

GTA 6 will release sooner than a lot of you think

I know this is just one of a hundred opinion posts, but ill toss in my 0.02$ into the ring. Before the Diamond Casino Heist came out, in an interview with a Rockstar spokesperson, they mentioned they had about a year worth of DLC updates planned for GTA V. Assuming they didn't just mean that's how much they have planned so far, and that after a year they will stop updating it, we can make some assumptions.
Most realistically, Rockstar won't announce GTA 6 until the end of Online's updates. It would stop people from buying shark cards as they would instead want to wait for the new one to come out. On top of that, online has been consistently hitting all time records of consecutive players playing at once, so while announcing GTA 6 might give them a boost in people booting it back up, its not really necessary.
While Rockstar has in the past announced games ahead of time to build up hype, its possible they may not for GTA 6, simply due to the fact it may steal money from Online in the meantime. If we crunch this, the timelines match up with a holiday 2020 release of GTA. This would also work in Rockstar's favour since a combo console and game packages will drive greater sales from people who dont care much about GTA, and are picking up the new consoles.
I know a lot of you are probably thinking Rockstar wont switch strategies like that and not build up hype, but we've seen it with GTA V DLC. In the past, they used to drop trailers and announcements up to a month before the DLC was released, for the past few its been max a week before the teaser and they don't drop the trailer till the day of.
That's just my opinion, what do you guys think?

Online is in the best place it’s been in a long time - Change my mind

Online is in the best place it’s been in a long time - Change my mind
Look, I know everyone likes to get their money the clean way and everything is crazy expensive but I’d argue GTA Online is maybe in the best spot I’ve seen it in a long time (post bikers GTA). So let’s do a run down.
I think a lot of people sit here and yearn for the good old days when everything was simple, before there were businesses and so much to upkeep. I agree that the upkeep can absolutely wear on you if you push the businesses too hard. And I also loved GTA Online prior to this, but bias aside, businesses gave it the legs it needed to keep going. Heists were great and all but after that was the Ill Gotten Gains to Cunning Stunts stretch where the game really worse itself thin. Businesses breathed life into a game that was without a doubt dying at that point, with burnout at an all time high and it trying to find it’s footing of where to go next. But it also gave griefers a new outlet, promoted them to be bigger dicks than they’d ever been before, and brought out the worst of them all: the hydra griefer. And there was no real counter at that point. You could try to get away long enough to get a jet of your own but your only real option was to either spend time counter killing them til they leave or change sessions and hope there weren’t any in the new one. (Solo session yeah yeah but that’s always a thing so it’s a moot point)
Times were simpler, but I wouldn’t say everything was super peachy at that point. Now let’s look at the other major updates that followed:
Gunrunning: This was maybe the most hyped update I’ve seen because A) You run guns and B) Everyone thought the death of Jet griefers was imminent. Except none of the vehicles were great hydra counters. A half track, APC, and the anti-aircraft trailer can take down your less intelligent jet griefers, but they’re not reliable enough to discourage it all together. The explosive sniper would eventually contribute to the death of jet griefing but not for a while as it was locked behind Research so it would take a bit for it to become a commonly held weapon. We also got the dreaded Oppressor with this update. The go to for your lazy griefers. It was a great tool for grinding though, and was only super problematic at this point as it lacked solid counters besides light poles. Overall though, would call Gunrunning a good addition to the game but the period that immediately followed it lackluster. It was exciting to have a new business and see all these new toys added to the game but with everything locked behind research it took a while for Gunrunning to really showcase all it had to offer. Lazy griefers also had a new ez mode toy to use and it took a bit for people to adjust.
Smugglers Run: Absolute garbage new business added and insane prices for the new planes. It also came out very shortly after Gunrunning. The combined price of these 2 DLCs is insane and with Gunrunning being the only viable new business the opportunity to actually enjoy what Smugglers Run had to offer wasn’t really available in the immediate period afterwards. Looking back, I like a lot of the planes added, but there were some that could’ve used some extra oomph. But that didn’t matter since you couldn’t afford them at that point. We did get easy access to Fort Zancudo though, which is the one prop I’d give to this DLC. But overall it didn’t really add anything but a money sink and for that I don’t think anyone can argue the game was in a great state at this point.
Doomsday Heist: Now this is the spot where someone could say that was the peak of GTA Online and I could see their point but throw down a hard disagree. The heists were great, and the replay ability was strong as well with the challenge of the final heist well balanced by the easiness of Bogdan. And Bogdan provided an amazing avenue of money making for those sick of grinding businesses and desiring to buy all of the shiny new toys added in Gunrunning and Smugglers Run. We also got the Deluxo (and the Stromberg but the Stromberg only started to get its time to shine recently as it was heavily slept on for a while). At this point enough people had their explosive snipers to the point where jet griefing was finally becoming a more uncommon occurrence, and the deluxo was a great counter balance/complement to the oppressor thanks to its lower speed/better missiles against the oppressors higher speed/worse missiles. There’s very little to complain about with this update except for... The Orbital Cannon. This thing took forever to get a half decent patch and you couldn’t do anything in a lobby without feeling nervous about the person with 5 X’s in their name and combat gear suddenly teleporting to their facility. Big no.
After Hours: I think this one speaks for itself. The Nightclub itself was cool but underwhelming with it’s popularity missions, the warehouse provided a fantastic new source of passive income, and the Oppressor mk2 became the new poster boy for everything bad about GTA Online (which at this point is fair while everyone was scrambling to figure out how to counter it) except at this point we already had futuristic shit like the Deluxo and it’s easily the best vehicle in the game for grinding. Overall a good update but not a great period for online with the infant oppressor mk2 and lingering orbital cannon issue.
Arena War: Hot garbage period for the game, I took one of my longer breaks from the game at this point. Remember that Lester Glitch where everyone spun around at the airport for days on end? And remember how everyone thought Rockstar was going to do a money wipe? They didn’t do a money wipe because they didn’t need to! This dlc was so outrageously expensive to the point where your money from that glitch was gone after buying the workshop and a handful of arena vehicles. The game modes can be fun but the payouts and matchmaking are garbage and in the blink of an eye the whole thing became an afterthought. Like with smugglers run the vehicles added are crazy fun but locked behind a big paywall so they couldn’t be fully enjoyed in the period of the game that immediately followed. Arena War is something I’m glad exists now as it added a load of fun vehicles that didn’t dramatically change the landscape of the game like weaponized vehicles of past updates did, but the period following was brutally rough for the game as the new activity was incredibly expensive and lackluster and all the issues from before were still around.
Diamond Casino: Not much to say about this one, casino was neat, added some fantastic money glitches, free car every week, cool new vehicles added that weren’t weaponized, and a sweet penthouse. “Oh but the penthouse is so expensive and I have to buy it to get VIP in the casino blah blah blah”. No, the fully upgraded penthouse is but that’s not something I have a problem with as it was all just fluff for people with the money to burn. The cost of the base penthouse is easily recouped by running through the Ms. Baker missions as host and they’re all easy as hell and the whole thing takes like an hour. You also get a free armored Paragon R for the trouble too. So that complaint about the penthouse is a moot point when you’re just too lazy to actually play through the missions the DLC added. Besides the casino there wasn’t a whole lot new to do otherwise though and there was still one particular lingering issue that had been around since Doomsday Heist that wasn’t patched yet. At least not until near the end of this DLC period, when the Orbital Cannon finally received the changes it needed. But that only meant that in the final ~1 month of this DLC period online was in a slightly better place, but we had still gone 2 major updates without a new form of income (at least that didn’t involve gaming the casino), and 3 major updates without an active avenue for making money.
Enter Casino Heist: In this DLC we got the arcade, the diamond casino heist, and some nice new non weaponized vehicles to add to our collections. The arcade is an improved source of passive income to the Nightclub (wall safe not the warehouse) as it will bring in $5k a day if you fill the floor with games (you don’t need to buy every game btw, you just buy Monkey’s Paradise for $90k and then in Arcade Management on the interaction menu you can put it in every slot on the floor). But the biggest draws by far are the MCT and the Casino Heist itself. The MCT is an improved version of what you have in your terrorbyte and makes managing businesses soooooo much easier. The Casino Heist itself is by far the best Heist in the game with the 3 different approaches and then sub options within those giving it excellent replay ability. You can also set it up in free roam which is fantastic. It has a great payout on it’s own vs the time it takes to set it up and for those looking for even quicker money it’s an improved Bogdan. In the period following we also got Open Wheel Races and new contact missions which is nothing too special but definitely welcome extra content to have some fun with. With such a large gap since the last time an ez mode griefing vehicle was added as well I think we’ve also reached the point where all of that is as balanced as it can be as everyone’s figured out which vehicles and weapons counter others.
And that brings me to my final point - online is as good as it’s been in a long time. The biggest gripe is mostly in regards to how much there is available to buy and how impossible the grind can feel. If you’re in this situation I would highly encourage you to explore finding people to play with (if you’re dead set on legitimate gains) or exploring less honest ways of making money like duping or running b2b Bogdan or casino heist. There’s so much to do in Online that gets lost behind what feels like the endless wall of grinding. I have everything I could ask for and then some for future updates. Running my businesses no longer feels like something I have to do, and it’s actually surprisingly enjoyable/rewarding when it’s not surrounded by stress. More than that, dicking around in different vehicles, having fun with friends and randoms, and helping them out feels so much more enjoyable because I don’t feel like I’m losing time I could be spending grinding. So get that money and live a little. There’s a lot to love about Online right now, and when you’re not tunnel visioned on grinding you’ll realize that there’s a lot of what made OG Online so great alive and well still. It will never be the same, but different doesn’t have to mean worse.
Hell at this point I almost wish they’d add some more crazy vehicles to mess around with instead of all standard ones.

I'm leaking everything I know about Grand Theft Auto VI.
After seeing what Schreier said about the next Grand Theft Auto being early in development and all the garbage MrBossFTW videos, I decided to ask my friend who started to work at Rockstar in San Diego 4 years ago and has been involved in the development of the game since late 2017 to give me some details about it. Everything he said to me about the game just seemed completely unreal, and after being quiet with this info for more than 3 days now, I can't stop myself from just telling this to the rest of the world. If what he told me is true, then this post might get deleted very quick, so try to copy & paste it somewhere or just screenshot it, also there might be a chance that Rockstar will change some things in the game because of it, and that my friend will be very angry at me and will maybe get suspended from work or he's trolling me and this is just another day of fake GTA VI news, but to me it's just too detailed to be fake. I'm also using a throwaway account. So with this out of the way let's start. The game is 70% finished. The first mentions of the game started way back in late 2011, when the Grand Theft Auto V trailer was launched worldwide. The plan was to make it the biggest game ever, something that nobody has ever seen before, with multiple cities, multiple protagonists, open interiors, realistic mechanics you get the point. Basically the ultimate game and they set it for late 2018, however the game was too heavy for the PS4/XONE hardware, and they also realized they wouldn't finish it in time with Red Dead Redemption 2 being developed around the corner. So they decided to split teams (I don't know the studio names so i will be just saying Team A, B etc) - Team A will be developing RDR2, Team B will be finishing GTA V, Team C starting the development on GTA VI and Team D was operating the next Grand Theft Auto game, which was supposed to be not a full blown sequel, but more like a spin-off (Vice City style - with around 50 missions and one protagonist on the V engine) and release it in 2016, set in areas different from what we saw before (very possibly London, they even left a hint of it in GTA V in that skate park graffiti or whatever it was), however this was scrapped in 2014 and replaced with a TBoGT/TLaD style DLC for GTA V, however this was again scrapped in 2015/16 when they realized how much money they make and can make with Online, so they decided to release bigger DLC's with something that has never been really experienced in GTA (here's the whole thing with MK2 Oppressors etc) and all the money that GTA Online made then was used for GTA VI. So when Red Dead Redemption 2 was finished in 2017, they started to fully focus on Grand Theft Auto VI. They even tested the features that they wanted in the next GTA by placing them in GTA V and RDR2 (I'll say them later). Now I will jump into everything that has currently been developed. The game is set in three different decades in three major cities surrounded by minor ones, with one protagonist for each decade. 1980s (I don't know the exact years but I think it will be something around 1983-1985 because of Rockstar's love for De Palma's Scarface) Vice City fully based on Miami, Medellin (wasn't told of R's version) and some areas in Bolivia and Cuba. Then 1990s (1996 exactly) Liberty City fully based on New York City (this time it will be missing that Soviet-era vibe that was present in GTA IV) and Carcer City based on Chicago with Detroit elements, and finally modern day San Andreas (Los Santos, Blaine County, San Fierro, a big desert town that I don't know the name of, and Las Venturas with missions in modern day Liberty City and modern day Vice City). Now, you won't be able to switch between protagonists like in V. The game will feature time jumps like in Red Dead Redemption 2 (this was actually tested there with the switch from 1899 to 1907), when you finish the 1980's campaign you will jump into the 1990's campaign and then when you finish that you will jump in the modern day campaign. Also, the area unlock system will return, the one that has been present in III, IV, SA, you know, the one with areas blocked until you complete a part of the story. You won't be able to access LC and Carcer before you started the 90's campaign and you won't be able to access the San Andreas before you started the modern day campaign. Now to the caflight mechanics and weapons. I presume some of you may know the mechanics and weapons if you read a leak posted by one of the game testers (he tested just two areas - VC and Carcer). The weapons will change their design during the space between the three campaigns, and there will be many, MANY weapons. Three times the size of V. I wasn't told every single one, but weapons like the Glock, a chainsaw and flamethrower will be returning and some new weapons will be added, the only one I know is the MP5. The car mechanics will be very advanced. For example, a fuel system in a car will be present (similiar to the one used in Mafia II Definitive Edition) and every single vehicle will have more or less fuel, if you steal a car from a pedestrian it will have a random amount of fuel, and if you break into one it might not even have any. The handling is completely reworked and was done with Hangar 13 who have done Mafia III's handling which is in my opinion the best vehicle handling in a game currently. That's all I know to this. And to the flight mechanics will feature a simulation mode and a regular mode. Didn't ask for details on this, but probably a FS2020 style flying and the GTA V style flying. Entering the physics and features. The same ragdoll system used in RDR2 optimized to fit the modern world, object destruction is going to be introduced (yes, you will be able to destroy buildings and this will have major consequences in the game's world, some of them will be very hard to destroy, some of them very easy and some of them won't be destructable at all, I'll tell later but you probably know by now) which will be very present in the ghettos of Carcer City. You will be able to put corpses and alive pedestrians in your trunk, and now murders will have effects. Remember the feature used in Online, that when you steal a car a guy messages you "You stole my fucking car, now you will pay!" type of message? Yeah, this was a test for GTA VI feature. When you murder someone, there is a possibility that some pedestrian will try to kill you for retaliation, or do some harm to your operation. Depends on the importance of the person you will kill (don't know how this system works, but possibly if you kill a gang member you will get drive-by'd or if you kill some random guy a friend of his will try to murder you) and the location and time. The wanted system is reworked, with six stars returning and the six star response is the military. Also, the police's reaction will depend on the city you will be in and the crime you will commit. And the same system that was featured in Mafia III or Watch Dogs that the you have to be snitched on for the cops to appear will be introduced. Interactions will return from RDR2 but more advanced, and for the first time ever a reputation system. I don't know about it that much, nor my friend does, but basically something like this - if you will make a name for yourself in the city the cops will recognize you and peds will fear you. Gunshot wounds and stab wounds will have effect on the player's movement and other, like if you get shot multiple times you won't be able to hold a heavy gun due to your injuries, and a bleeding system is present. And the same thing that was in GTA V with bruises being left after you die will be again present, but this time scars will be introduced. You can literally get a Tony Montana style scar on your face if you get slashed across it very heavily. Business missions will be present, for example, you will have to deliver cocaine from Vice to Bolivia by airplane, something that was tested in the second Trevor mission in V, or you have to reclaim a hood from the rival gang like in SA, but more advanced (I'm getting too ahead of myself). That's all I can recall on this topic. Oh, and the casino system in LV will be heavily present, it was tested in the GTA Online update, almost forgot about it. The soundtrack will be the best in the history of gaming, and I'm serious about it. One of the points behind having two decades is the soundtrack. I don't know about all songs that are in the game, but I know that artists like The Notorious B.I.G., Eminem, Michael Jackson, 2Pac, Hall & Oates, Nas, Nirvana, Metallica, XXXTentacion and Bob Marley are featured. They spent a lot of money to get them in the game. Now, to the cities look and feel. I will keep it short and simple. Everything from 80's Miami will be present in Vice City, if you watched Miami Vice and Scarface you know, modern day VC will look basically the same way modern day Miami does. 90's Liberty will look like 90's New York present in Above the Rim and Juice however with some new features, and the East-West rap beef will be taking place during this time so expect a lot of references to that. The World Trade Center will be featured, however this was a very, very difficult task and R had to pay major bucks to get it. And finally, modern day San Andreas won't also really differ from the real life counterpart, and some new buildings and areas will be added to Los Santos. Online was basically the thing that Schreier leaked. It will be first set in Los Santos and will eventually feature every city. It has been almost made into a full-blown MMO, DLC ideas already there. There will be an option of getting your V Online protagonist to VI, just like when V for next-gens was released. That is all I know on that, because I really don't care about the Online mode and I didn't ask that much. And the final part, the characters and campaign. I'll start with saying who is Jorge Consejo playing, since he already revealed in his CV that he is featured. The answer is a young Martin Madrazo, who will be one of the protagonist's allies. We will also see a young Roman Bellic moving into LC and a young Dwayne Forge before he got locked up who will be one of the protagonist's allies and a very young Playboy X. We will have references to Niko Bellic (he would appear, but Michael Hollick and Rockstar don't really like eachother now), and Michael, Franklin, Trevor and Lamar will make appearances. That's everyone I know that is returning. As for the new characters, there is a lot of them inspired by Scarface and Narcos for the 1980's campaign, Juice and Above the Rim provided a lot of inspiration for the 1996 campaign and I'm pretty sure there will be a character inspired by 2Pac's Bishop. The campaign is like the three eras of GTA. The 80's campaign will be basically about destruction, mayhem, making money and a name for yourself just like in the 2D era games. The 1996 campaign will be like the 3D era one, going from a nobody to one of the biggest criminals in the country and the modern day campaign will be a mix of both, just like the GTA V one. The missions will be 60 each for one campaign, so all added up the game will feature around 180 missions, which is beating GTA: SA's longest campaign in GTA by over 80 missions. I can't even imagine how long the game will take, including random events and the upgraded Strangers & Freaks missions. The protagonists will be heavily inspired by their time periods cultures. We will have a colombian immigrant moving into Vice City with his friend to escape jail in Colombia, a North Holland gangbanger who wants to do something more then living the gang life, but at the same time wants to dominate the city (a mix of both CJ and Franklin) and a man in his late teenage years who wants to get into the criminal life with his friend, after hearing stories and watching movies, you know the type. Also, the protagonists from the two previous campaigns will return in the modern day one, but as older versions of themselves, however there won't be a switch option between them. Oh, and the release date. Currently, the release date is Spring 2021 with a possible delay to Autumn 2021. Sony is currently battling for the game to be a PS5 exclusive for one month and the PC port is set towards Spring/Summer 2022. They want to release the trailer in October 2020, and a week before that they will show the logo which is done for about two years. That's all I know. Now like I said, there is a chance my friend was lying, and all I told you is fake, so take it with a huge grain of salt. However, if it is really true, then just in case I will delete this post in two days, because of legal action. And if I won't do it, then probably someone from Rockstar will take it down.

[SERIOUS] I had a dream about the next DLC. It was called "Grand Theft Auto Online: Parking Parameters"

Let me start off by saying this is NOT a joke....as much as it sounds like one.
My dream started off where I was in my living room at night time, and a commercial came on for the next GTA online DLC. I remember getting all excited and my eyes bulged because I thought it was the GTA 6 trailer. But then I realized it was a trailer for the next GTA online DLC, so I calmed down a bit. I noticed it wasn't a GTA 6 trailer because it showed the logo first.
The logo was kinda weird. It looked like it said "Grand Theft Auto Parking Parameters Online". The "GTA" part of the logo was on top, and then the "Parking Parameters" was in the middle, and then online was at the bottom. Also, the "GTA" part of the logo was purple like in the casino heist logo, the "Parking Parameters" looked like it was in the Fortnite font for some reason, (I've played Fortnite like once, so I dunno what that was about) and the outline of logo, along with the words "Parking Parameters" and "ONLINE" was white.
When the actual gameplay started, it seemed like it had nothing to do with parking parameters. It showed some F1 cars racing, some sky shots of some random city, and then it showed a bunch of logos. And finally, it showed a list of joinable servers for something, but I'm not sure what they were for. The background 'picture' of where it was showing the servers were mountains/hills on a cloudy day.
But that's all I can remember....What do you guys think?

Tao Cheng, and the implications to the singleplayer endings

First off, spoiler warning, its been 6 years, but still.
As you know by now, in the trailer it is shown we will be working with Tao Cheng in this DLC, as a supporting character or your main guy for the business, who knows. Now, in the singleplayer we don't see him for long, only a single mission in fact. The man cant speak English, is a bit of a druggie, and is only there to officiate the business between TP industries, and his fathers interests with the Triad. It is obvious this casino will be involved with the Triad, but what role is Tao in this? Is he representing his father again? Or is he now the man in charge? This is a important distinction as what position he is in could prove once and for all which ending is cannon. Out of the 3 endings, in only one, C, does his father, Wei Cheng, die.
Now, obviously there is no guarantee that R* will give us any indication on Wei Cheng's status, as we have already had both lester, and paige in post-GTAV DLC, neither of whom said anything on the protagonists fate. but both of them would have turned out much the same regardless of the actions of you the player. Tao, and by extension the Traid, would. There is a 6 year gap in the time line, so anything could happen to Wei Cheng between now and then. But i am looking forward to seeing who survived los santos.

Edit: Gta online takes place both before AND after, most of the initial game takes place a few months before the start of GTAV, after gunrunning, all other dlc takes place modern day. so the casino is coming out in 2019 canonically. Kinda hoped people would know the timeline before spamming out false info, but hey, dont know why i expected knowledge of the lore in a lore discussion.

NFS Code Name Japan/ Tokyo Nights

VIDEO 1
VIDEO 2
S/O to straightuphippo on this concept. I just want to give some constructive criticism on this. I like the ideas presented, but I don't like the way that you layered 2 videos on top of each other, again, it was a nice idea, but it does not look good in my opinion I would have rather just seen the still image and than when you push start it should switch to the videos of the camera walking around the cars, I also want to say the logos are also a no go, they have the rising sun in them, which in Japan has become kind of controversial in much the same way that the confederate flag in the US has, but for different reasons. however these are just 2 downsides to the many plus sides of this video. I think the actual content here is great, just those 2 negatives make me prefer video 2 over video 1, however I think maybe a combo of both would look nice. also side note, is that Jay trying to impersonate The Broker, or is that you impersonating The Broker?
Gameplay Concept Video
S/O to louisbarron16 for making this bad ass gameplay concept. the voice acting is alright, not the best, but certainly better than Tyler Morgan from Payback so it's a yes from me. also, the UI in my opinion looks a bit retro, so in my opinion it could use some work, but the idea is the gameplay and not really the UI. also louisbarron16 I would have turned stability on for the video, but still great video.
Since these cover ats are popular right now I thought I’d list cover arts for Japan style NFS games made by the community that I like. Cover art credits goes to Mighoet straightuphippo (@StraightUpHippo on Twitter) and @3almalios on twitter. Mighoet’s Cover Art, StraigtUpHippo’s Cover Art, 3amalions Cover Art
I’m going to start this thread with a controversial statement. I prefer the only night time setting because it is easier to develop for, allows for better graphics, and makes it easier to create a dark and gritty story about the underworld of street racing. It also aligns very well with the locations I picked for the game. In my honest opinion the day time setting would be boring in my proposed location. So this game im proposing will be night time only. And before you go on a crusade, the locations I picked were picked with the night time setting in mind. There will be plenty of color and plenty of life. Even though it is only night time everything will still feel alive, and the only way to convince you of that is to talk about the map.
Shibuya Crossing Intersection
Bayshore Route
Rainbow Bridge
Shinjuku
Tokyo Dockyards (where ever the dockyards from prostreet are based)
Odaiba Statue of Liberty
Life Size Gundam Statue
Ebisu Circuit
Mount Fuji
Free DLC and if MTX must be a thing, shortcut packs. But in the ideal world it would be all free, and Ghost & EA do not have an excuse anymore considering that GT Sport had a rather large expansion that was completely free with no MTX either. Plus when you look at 2015 and compare its DLC to Paybacks DLC it’s not very difficult to see that 2015’s free updates had more content than Paybacks paid DLC. plus, when looking back 2015 was supported for quite a long time, it may not feel like it but 6 months is quite a long time when reflecting back.
in order to really sell the fact you are in a big japanese city based on Tokyo, there will need to be a lot of AI walking on the sidewalks and across the street. These AI will work very similarly to the AI in Midnight Club LA, if you try running them over they will run and jump out of the way. I have seen Ghost very reluctant to add this as a feature because “this is not GTA” and I agree it is not GTA, thats why these NPC’s are impossible to kill, they have no death sequences, they are simply 3d character models walking around. Also, I dont think the NPC’s should be commending you for being an idiot and doing donuts and shit. If you start doing destructive and reckless things such as burnouts and donuts a few NPC’s will simply give you negative looks. They will be displeased. If you are just cruising in an expensive car or a highly customized car a few NPC’s might pull out their phone and take a few snaps while saying nice car in Japanese. Ya know, basic stuff to make you feel like you are in a living world. Payback tried, but I feel like having the NPC’s commend you for doing burnouts and driving fast is really an unrealistic thing for real life people to do thus making the feature kind of immersion breaking.
Yes, payback has good physics. They work and they can be fun, but to me it’s a bit dated at this point. I don’t hate the brake to drift and casual drifting, but I’d rather have a grip focused handling model I know many racing game fans and more importantly hardcore NFS fans that want a grip focused handling model like Carbon or Most Wanted. People want that arcadey grip handling model where you can actually screw up and spin out. And quite honestly for this game im suggesting, a drift focused handling model will not work. It just won’t. Brake to drift just is not fun in city environments which is what Codename Japan is focusing on. Drift focused handling will not work for the canyon layouts of my map either because well, I designed them with the idea of sudden death Toge events (AKA Canyon Duels) in mind. The physics model I’m proposing will allow you to drift if you equip drift biased upgrades, but if you equip the drift biased upgrades you won’t be able to compete in grip style events, to do that you will need to equip neutral or grip handling upgrades, likewise the only way to compete in drift events is to put on drift handling upgrades.
P.S. the curb issues will be fixed, they will no longer launch you 10 miles into the air.
ACTORS
I’m going to start off by saying get real Japanese, real American, and real Japanese-Americans to star in the game. No fake accents. Especially not from British people I hate it when British people try to do the American accent likewise I hate it when Americans do the British accent. So please have the actors match where their characters are from. And anyone doing japanese accents that are not japanese will just come across as racist.
CG AND LIVE ACTION
this proposed game will contain both CG elements and live action in the cutscenes, and there is no excuse to not include live action stuff. With Payback they claimed that there were not enough sets and that you could not really do explosions and stuff in live action environments and I completely disagree, plenty of films have done explosions in live action environments by making the explosion itself CG. there is really no excuse to exclude the live action stuff, so that’s why it will be here in this proposed game. Think of it like Carbon where they blend CG elements with live action elements.
PLOT
The biggest issue I have with Payback is its story. To me everything felt way too tied to social media rather than what is supposed to be the main star of the game the car and the characters. Not only this but the story is not gritty. In Payback it just felt like mostly everyone was trying be your friend like no one hated you. To make things even worse Payback has had by far the worst set up for a story I have ever seen. I’m sure Bollywood films have better setups than Payback, but that’s just my opinion. I’m going to spoil the set up here so, spoiler warning, but it’s not really something that matters all that much because not only is it a super predictable set up, but the set up also happens within the first few minutes of gameplay, spoiler The issue is even worse with Paybacks characters being seriously under developed. I mean to this day the only thing I know about Marcus Weir is that he owns a casino. To this day the only thing I know about tyler is that he is a street racer who is an annoying ass hole, To further issues even more spoiler so there is no reason for you to be mad or to fight to the end. No i’m not asking for intense blood and gore, just something subtle like spoiler That’s the kind of twist and combination that NFS has never explored and in my opinion, they need to. People you care about need to die in these stories the protagonist needs to screw up a few times (but not too much, just enough for us to know that they are human), I feel like doing this will not only make the story more dark, but will also teach important lessons about how people are not perfect and how people you love might die if they are involved in something as dangerous as illegal street racing and illegal street drifting. Just look at the classic F&F movies, look at the classic NFS games and than make a dark gripping story that in inspired by those films and games. I know, it’s easier said than done, but it’s your job and it needs to be done. The story has to show why running from your problems is a bad idea. There needs to be lessons rooted in the dark stories. It can not be just over the top action, there needs to be substance there.
and in terms of making good characters, making emotional moments, and making good use of cinemetography the story developers at Ghost Games should watch the videos linked below. Now I know not all of these videos will help make a good NFS story, however it is stuff every film/game director should know.

NO MTX based upgrades and no randomized upgrades. When you upgrade you get what you pay for. There is no reason for the upgrades to be completely randomized. None. if you want parts to be harder to achieve just increase the amount of money they cost. Now onto the depth. Brands will be returning, but it will be more streamlined than in Payback. Gone are the perks. You simply select the brand and than you select whether you want to favor speed or acceleration for engine upgrades and for tire, suspension, or brakes you select whether you want them to be grip or drift. But if you want to compete in Grip Races or Toge events you have to either have neutral or grip handling upgrades.
Driver Skills: formerly known as perks in Payback are being removed from the upgrades and being moved to “driving skill” where you can improve skills such as transmission skill, air skill, and control, transmission skill will decrease the amount of time it takes to shift gears, air skill will increases landing stability, and control skill will increase grip. You might think it’s unrealistic, but its not, the skills I selected are skills you would realistically get better at in real life if you put in the time to get better at them, which is kind of why I put that element into my game as I think it is a more realistic way of doing RPG without being random.
Perks: Perks are something completely optional all the perks are 1 time use only and cannot be used in online. Now that’s out of the way, perks give you a special ability when equipping them. The perk options you have the option for are Speedbreaker, which allows you to slow down time for a few seconds, Quick-Repair, which allows you to quickly repair the vehicles damage when it is at 75% damage or more, Supercharged Nos, which supercharges your nos allowing for more acceleration when using your first tank of nos, and Anit-Killswitch, which makes cops with kill switches ineffective in kill switching your vehicle.
Crew Members: there are multiple types of crew members available in game. The different types of crew members are as follows; Drafter, Scout, and Blocker. Drafters give their crew member more speed by letting them slipstream off of them, Scouts will essentially highlight all the shortcuts in an event, and Blockers will take out other racers in your way. You unlock Drafters by beating Grip Bosses with a specialty in drag, you unlock scouts from Grip Bosses with a focus on circuit racing, and you unlock blockers by beating Grip Bosses with a focus on sprint racing. The crew members are completely optional and you can complete the game without them if you feel like they are a crutch in any way. DISCLAIMER: you can NOT take crew members into drift events, boss races, toge events, or wangan battles.
I’m going to make this as clear as possible, you can NOT skip these challenges by purchasing a MTX because that would get rid of the entire point of having these in the first place.
GTR Builds: build types that require you to complete a list of challenges to unlock, every car in the game gets a GTR Build that you can unlock via completing an assignment in game. One of the GTR upgrades you can unlock is the GTR upgrade for the BMW M3 E46. in order to unlock the GTR upgrade for the E46 you have to get your E46 M3 to heat level 5, conquer all races in career mode using any vehicle, cause 200,000 in fines in 1 pursuit using your E46 M3, and ram 50 police vehicles using your E46 M3. By unlocking and equipping the GTR upgrade for the E46 M3 you will essentially turn your M3 E46 into an M3 GTR E46 by swapping in the M3 GTR NA V8, by equipping straight cut gears, and by equipping the M3 GTR body kit.
Preset Wraps: NFS Japan will come with preset wraps to unlock via completing a list of challenges. One preset wrap “The Most Wanted” for the M3 E46 will be unlocked by having a bounty of 150k, avoiding 5 spike strips in a single pursuit, winning 10 speed trap events, getting a speed of 200 MPH in a single speed trap, and disabling 10 cops in a single pursuit.
Special Vehicles: special vehicles consist of the Fire Truck, the Isuzu Giga 2017, the Mitsubishi Fuso Fe 180 Garbage Truck 2016, the Isuzu Erga Hybrid (Bus), the Police Mazda CX-5 Rhino, the Police Subaru Legacy, the Police Nissan Skyline V35, the Police Nissan Skyline R34, and the Police Mazda RX8. in order to unlock the Police R34 you have to purchase 20 cars, score 500,000 points in a drift event, accumulate a fine of 50k, and disable 100 cops.
Police will now be in free roam.
Pursuit breakers return: pursuit breakers are scripted destruction sequences which will kill police chasing you. You can take out scaffolding and knock them out, you can knock cars out of car carrier trailers, you can knock over small walls, and you can knock over big signs.
Heat Levels Return: initial heat levels are determined based on speed if you pass a cop at over 160 MPH you will start at heat level 2 if you are below 160 you will start at heat 1. These heat levels are retained, when you leave a pursuit your heat level will remain at what it was when you went into cool down, the only way to lower heat level is to edit the visual customization or to park the car in the garage for a few races.
Impound Strikes Return: any time you get busted your car gets an impound strike at 3 your car is impounded. If your car gets impounded you can purchase it back, but it will cost as much as buying the car new again. If you do not have any cars left and if you do not have enough money to buy your car back from the impound lot or buy a new car from the car lot than the game is over and you have to restart (or quite the game before it saves).
Fine: when in a pursuit the police will tally up every offense you make such as reckless driving, speeding, street racing, destruction of property, etc, and these add up quickly, if you get busted and can’t pay the fine you will be in debt, if you fail to get your balance back to 0 within a certain amount of play time the police will increase you to max heat level so, make sure you don’t get in debt.
Pull Over Mechanic: If you don’t want a police pursuit you can just pull over and pay the fine of the violation you comminited. Pulling over is not an option with high heat levels or if you commit a big offense such as destruction of property. Essentially it’s the same pullover mechanic as 2015 and Midnight Club LA.

Sudden Death Tōge - Sudden Death Tōge is an event type that requires a lot of skill and precision, on the first run, you will be following the opponent, on the second run the opponent will be following you. Ramming an opponent in the first stage will deduct 5000 points from your score, being rammed by an opponent in the second stage will grant you 5000 points. If anyone falls off the cliff, if 1 driver gets passed, or if a driver falls behind, the race is over.
Time Attack Tōge - Time Attack Tōge is a race against the clock and a true test of your skills. If you fall off the edge, the race is over, if you hit a wall you will get a 2 to 5 second penalty (depending on balance). If you run out of time before reaching the finish or if you fall off the cliff the race is over you lose.
Sprint Race - Point to point street race that takes place in the canyons and in the city, but mostly in the city.
Circuit Race - street races that take place in the city that take place along a set route with a set number of laps and a single start/finish line.
Speedtrap - Speedtrap events take place along a point-to-point route with several speed cameras that award points based on a participant's captured speed. This event type has heavy cop presence.
Drift Race - Drift events require participants to earn as many points as they can by drifting their car, and can take place in canyons, city circuit routes or in multistory parking garages.
Tandem Battle- a Tandem Battle is a drift event where its you against 1 other AI driver. Tandem Battles are split into 2 rounds, much like Sudden Death Toge except instead in drifting form. The goal is to stay as close as possible to the other driver while drifting, the closer you are the higher your multiplier will be, in the first round you start off by following and drifting to gain points, in the second round your goal is to keep your distance from the other player. If you ram a player in the first round of a Tandem Battle you will have a 5000 point penalty and if they ram you in the second round, you gain 5000 points.
Lap Knockout - A circuit race in which the player who is in last place after each lap gets disqualified from that race.
Drag Race - a race in a straight line with 2 to 6 players compete for the perfect shifts. You need to keep track of engine temp though over reving or going over red line will raise engine temp if your engine temp gets too high your engine will blow for longer drag races cars with more top end power might be more useful, but in events with shorter routes a car with more low end torque might be more useful. If you crash out you lose that round of the drag race.
Wangan Battles - Wangan Battles are battles which take place on long stretches of highway/motorway that start at 80 MPH (128 KMH) with the goal of getting to 200 MPH (321 KMH) quicker than your opponent. whoever reaches 200 MPH (321 KMH) first wins.
Outrun Races - The winner of an Outrun Race is the racer that overtakes their opponent and sustains a lead of at least 1,000ft (300m). Both racers can drive wherever they want as there's no determined route.
Grip Boss’ - Grip boss’ challenge you when you conquer all of their territory. When you conquer a grip crews territory they will challenge you in 3 different events. First you will have to race the boss in a sprint race through the city, than you will have a Wangan Battle with the boss, and if you win against them in those 2 races and only then will the boss challenge you to a Sudden Death Toge Battle. if you lose the Toge Battle they reclaim all the territory you had taken from them. If you win you keep their territory. NO RESTARTS are allowed in the Sudden Death Toge events against bosses, however restarts are allowed on the Wangan Battle and on the Sprint Race through the city. Grip boss races take place at night time only.
Drift Boss’ - Drift boss’ challenge you when you conquer all of their territory. When you conquer their territory they will challenge you to 3 different events. First you will face the boss in a drift circuit in a multistory parking garage, than you will need to beat their score on their favorite drifting route in the city, and when you beat the boss in those events the boss will challenge you to a Tandem Battle. If you lose the Tandem Battle the boss will reclaim all the territory you took from him, if you win you keep their territory. NO RESTARTS are allowed in a Tandem Battle against bosses, however you can restart in the first 2 events that take place before the Tandem Battle.
Drag Boss’ - Drag boss’ challenge you when you conquer all of their territory, when you take all of their their territory they will challenge you to 3 events. 2 drag races 1 on the highway and 1 in the city and a Wangan Battle on the highways. If you lose the Wangan Battle the boss will reclaim all the territory you took from them. NO RESTARTS are allowed in the wangan battle, however, restarts are allowed in the 2 drag races.
Online Free Roam - Roam around Japan with your friends or by yourself and show off your ride to players around the world if you desire.
Pursuit Knockout - Pursuit Knockout is a party game mode that pits players against each other in a lap knockout style game mode, but rather than being disqualified for being in last place at the end of a lap you become a pursuing officer in a police cruiser trying to take down other players. The players you takedown also become pursuing officers in police cruisers trying to take out other races. The game ends when all players become police or when 1 person crosses the finish line alive.
Team Escape - Team escape is a PvE (player vs environment) game mode that takes place along an enclosed A to B course with up to six players working together to evade the police.
Cops & Robbers - A 6 v 6 party game mode that pits cops against racers. As the racers you must pick up and deliver packages without being taken out. As a cop your job is to stop them from picking up and delivering the packages. The game ends when the racers deliver all the packages or when the cops arrest all the racers.
Pursuit Tag - A 12 player party game mode where at the beginning of a round someone is randomly chosen to become a cop the job of that cop is to tag the opponents each tagged opponent becomes a cop. The person who remains untouched the longest is the winner of the event.
Crew Races - a 6 v 6 event type that pits 2 teams against each other in a sprint race. The goal of each team is to get as many players in front of the other team. The team who crosses the line with the most players in front wins.
Lap Knockout - A circuit race in which the player who is in last place after each lap gets disqualified from that race.
Circuit Races - Circuit events take place along a set route with a set number of laps and a single start/finish line.
Sprint Race - Point to point street race that takes place in the canyons and in the city, but mostly in the city.

Impressions of GTA Online's new Casino DLC? (released today)

GTA Online opened up the Casino today. Anyone get to try it yet?
I'm limited on HD space and just wanted to hear some impressions. Whether it's fun or not and worth redownloading the whole game.
Here's the Rockstar trailer for the Casino DLC in case you missed it:

Am I the only one excited for RDR2 Online?

I know the single player is going to be amazing, but as a huge fan of GTA5 and GTA Online, I can't wait to play online for Red Dead. Although I have my share of complaints about GTAO, I had hours upon hours of fun, and the breadth of content they developed for it is astounding. No, I'm not a fan of microtransactions or inflated costs online compared to single player for in game purchases, ($25k for chrome instead of 2K for example), but I still love it.
I wonder what they are going to do since there's a lot of differences between the series, and they can't make hundreds of vehicles or other types of technologically driven DLC content. I know we will be able to get different saddles, clothes, but I'm hoping for maybe being able to buy ranches, farms, businesses, casino, I would love for base building such as 7 Days To Die/Ark, but I know those are different genres so I don't expect any of that. I can't wait for the online trailer which will probably hit in the next 1.5 months at the latest. I hope it's at launch, or within a couple weeks like GTA 5. Anybody else have any thoughts?

Just a few ideas I came up with, some are concepts from other games but most are mine.

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK DOWN BELOW!
Properties:
  1. I would like to suggest that property furniture is separately picked out by the player. For example, in the office a player may want the desk chair, assistant model, and walls from the old spice: warm style, the window shades, glass walls, hallway furniture, desk perimeter tables, and the boardroom cabinets from power broker: polished, and the glass cabinet (the wine sits on top of this), the couch and chairs, and desk from the executive style, the same idea would apply to penthouses and possibly other properties like the facility & hangar where furniture is present and multiple styles are available. I'm sure it would bring great pleasure and satisfaction to me and many others in the community to be able to tweak their properties to perfection. I understand that there is an unused shop by the name of larss & elbo that I come to believe is a high-end furniture store, it could be implemented into the game to "Buy" the furniture from. Additionally, there could be different brands of furniture and appliances, for example, the pc and laptops in properties could be a different brand or type of computer instead of the regular ifruit tech, also the stilt houses have 2 different interiors, allow the player to pick either interior for their stilt houses.
  2. Add a home system in the interaction menu, so players could control the radio or tv without having to interact with them directly. Maybe even have control over the level of lighting, or if they have the right type of shades, allow them to be closed or opened to view the outside of LS.
  3. In the office instead other there being a gun locker and safe in the walls behind the players desk, have the closed room behind the assistant be opened up as an armory to view every weapon the player owns, and the room across from the 3 laptops be opened as a vault and have it filled with cash depending on the funds in the players bank account.
  4. The possibility to own a couple more properties, with all the new cars that will be dripping out every Tuesday, I feel horrible having to sell a good car that I want to keep to make room for a new car and I'm sure others feel the same.
  5. Unlock the balconies in properties, like at the penthouses or stilt houses. Make it so that we can walk out onto the balconies instead of just looking through windows.
  6. Pets being in players apartments and houses/adding animals to GTA online.
  7. More tv shows and movies, or more episodes to existing series. More than just one video game on the office tv, and ability to play video games on TVs in other properties.
  8. Open up the mechanic's area in the back of garages.
  9. Make menus for property radios and TVs so that instead of guessing what channel or station the player is selecting, they can instead use the menu to quickly and easily select their favorite channel or radio station when directly interacting with them.
  10. If mansions or more apartment/penthouse properties are added in future DLC, allow the purchase of extra rooms, like a pool or home theater.
  11. Make the camper available for purchase as a mobile home property.
  12. Make yacht more individually customizable, able to pick out all tents, pick colors and patterns separately, pick helipads, pick individual lighting. Color options wouldn't be limited, it would include all colors. Pick which helicopters and boats are stationed. Open up yacht engine room. Open up the 3rd-floor front exterior.
  13. Add more room for yachts.
  14. Fix interior inclined windows or remove inclined windows on the yacht.
  15. Let doors inside yacht close.
  16. Let security gates in the bunker close and open.
  17. Add more rooms in bunkers.
  18. Let players pick the paintings in properties.
Big downloadable content:
  1. A DLC that would be based mostly on water, it could be business based or heist based. I understand you must get plenty of emails regarding a naval-themed DLC but I would at least like to pitch in my thoughts, I suggest first that either both or one of the two following watercraft be included and available for purchase: 1. The aircraft carrier or a variant of the aircraft carrier that would include aircraft and watercraft storage, a living quarters, an armory, and possibly a section where a battleship (either visually in game or said to be farther out away from the coast) would be ordered to bombard or strike a small section of the map. The explosions would be smaller and less damaging than the orbital strike but there would be 2-3 at once. 2. Bogdan's submarine or a variant of it, it would include mainly the same basic rooms but the aircraft and possibly watercraft storage wouldn't be available, which is why I noted that both could be included. Both would be able to move around the map in a similar fashion as the galaxy super yacht, and both would be own-able at the same time. Second, MK.II weapons and weaponized/non-weaponized watercraft. For the MK.II weapons, I would like to see the grenade launcher, minigun, RPG, sweeper shotgun, micro SMG, and ap pistol. These are just suggestions, you can use whatever weapons you feel should be upgradable. For the weaponized watercraft, two could be variants of the tug and dinghy, the dinghy would have a minigun on the front and the tug would have a huge cannon on the back and miniguns on the sides, maybe a walk-in interior could be opened up on the tug with cannons and miniguns in it. Maybe one of the new ships could be a pirate ship (more on that below), but I'm sure you all would be the experts in finding small warships to put into the DLC. Now depending on if this becomes a business or a heist will vary the features put in: 1. Bogdan's treasure: a small heist could be included involving Bogdan finding an old treasure map and recruiting a team of players to go out looking for the treasure whilst fending off multiple factions of enemies like Merryweather, the army, the FIB/IAA, and maybe the gangs of San Andreas (vagos, ballas, the lost mc etc.) that have also caught wind of the treasure. The heist would be available from the screen in the players facility (it bothers me that there is empty space on the screen when its just the 3 doomsday heists) or from a small island base, some of the freemode setups would include getting various naval ships from one of the many factions to use in mission setups to look for more clues, gather information, or follow the map through sonar or other navigation/detection methods. The finale would include the players finding a cave leading into a cove with a huge pirate ship filled with gold (think the goonies) but on the way there, players would have to fight through the multiple factions that they encountered in previous sections of the heist, at the very end they would blow a massive hole in the side of the cove exposing the ship to the outside of the map and sailing it away in a cinematic cutscene. 2. Marines and pirates: a business similar to the bikegunrunning would be available to the player, on the maze bank foreclosures website a cove (think Hitler's underground cove dock in sniper elite 4 where you kill him or that submarine lair in mechanic resurrection) would be purchasable to the player. Inside of the cove would be the regular rooms like an armory, living quarters, and the main business room, but there would be multiple closed off manufacturing sections that could be unlocked through "Purchasing" them, the computer inside would allow upgrades to be made to each section they're in. The player would gather supplies based on what section they're in, for example, if the player were resupplying the forge, they would go out and use sonar to look for lost gold that could be at the bottom of the sea and bring it back, or steal gold bricks from a shipment on land and bring it back to be melted and sold (like in story mode). A rare resupply encounter could be to steal a pirate ship from Merryweather or the IAA/fib and bring it back. The small island could be where the base of operations is located, or gates and doors would be added to the side of rock walls on the map along the water with a valve hatch being located above for on-foot entry. Bogdan's submarine variant could be stored in here as a moc/avenger type vehicle, while the aircraft carrier is placed outside wherever the player has it.
  2. The nightclubs are opened up and either be a small business headquarters for trafficking or a hang out spot with a couple minigames, perhaps there could be different kinds like the hen house be a strip club and Bahama mamas be just a regular dance club or the player could choose what type of club the property would be. There could be a dancing mini-game be placed near a dance floor along with a fight club of sorts in the basement. It could also introduce Brucie as more than just a contact for bst or bring back a character from another title.
  3. Another heist idea could be that the casino is robbed by the player and his team, they would be hired by Phoenicia rackman to rob the casino because it hasn't been paying its government taxes or something, so the players must take the money by force for her so that the IAA could be funded. The heist could possibly include some variants of that huge tunnel digger to reach the vault room, or the skylift, that could be used to pick up the entire vault and fly it away. It would be the fourth or fifth heist to appear in the heist room in the facility (if the naval-themed DLC above was used for a heist then this would fill the last remaining spot on the heist screen, though I would push for that DLC to be a business since I like the businesses). I don't think gambling would be a feature since it would probably be exploited or glitched, giving players insane monetary gain.
  4. If the naval-themed DLC was used as a business then this heist could be the fifth heist on the screen in the facility. The altruists in Blaine County are taking over and assembling a small army of hillbillies, hobos, members of other various cults (children of the mountain, epsilon program), the O'Neil's, hunters, and possibly the lost mc to attack Los Santos and purge it, Phoenicia rackman has hired the players to infiltrate Blaine county and take back sections and loosen the grip of the altruists with the help of Trevor Philips, the finale is to infiltrate and destroy the altruist camp and end its tyrannical grip on Blaine county. The DLC would be more low-end than most of the recent content but I think some of the community would appreciate lower end content, stuff like pickup trucks and dune buggies and whatnot. Some of the heist vehicles could look like something out of mad max: fury road which I personally think would look insanely awesome, something like an armored bus with machine guns sticking out of the windows.
  5. Civil service DLC: buy police stations and vehicles.
  6. Continental hotel like from john wick.
Game modes & mini-games:
  1. An adversary mode of hide and seek at night with all the lights out, like slasher but on a larger scale. Players would hide in a small section of the map like sandy shores, the player could stay in one spot for about 30 seconds before having to move away from that spot or else they would appear on the map. It could be played in vehicles too since it's in a much larger area, the hiders could be on Sanchez's and the seeker could be in a khanjali tank or weaponized Tampa.
  2. A race mode idea could be something like motocross madness, where the maze bank arena is used for motocross races. There could also be an adversary mode that's a demolition derby or monster truck show.
  3. Add more sports mini-games like bowling, archery, pool, table tennis, and triathlons, possibly add baseball too.
  4. Add a 2 player hunting minigame.
  5. Make official creator props and adversary modes for games such as deathrun, car vs gun, ramp climb.
  6. Let players play mission minigames as video games. Like the doomsday laser hack, and lesters fleeca heist maze hack.
Player customization:
  1. Have there be a gym placed in ls where the player could train their character and upgrade their stats, like the gyms from GTA: San Andreas.
  2. Add more customization for the player's phone.
  3. Make more actions and taunts, its been a while since any have been added.
  4. Make some of the clothing options for male characters available for female characters, for example, the bow-tie that can just be on the male character without the proper shirt or jacket, and make some clothing options for the female character available for the male character, for example, the golden cuffs from ill-gotten gains. Maybe let players purchase the dunce hat too.
  5. Add clothes exclusive or only seen in story mode, for example, the visor that Amanda wears during tennis, franklin's skydiving outfit, Trevors dress, triathlon outfits. Some hairstyles could also be added, for example, Trevor's mullet and beard, Franklin's afro. Additionally, let hairstyles and clothing from holidays be available permanently.
  6. In the character creator, allow the players to change the size of their characters female breasts or male genitalia.
  7. The possibility of this is highly unlikely, but make a no shirt/bikini clothing option for female characters or at least just nipple tape, the strippers are partially nude during lap dances, also the strange blue nipples could be taken care of. I really don't see this being implemented but I see no harm in suggesting it.
  8. Choker chains.
  9. Let players do their own makeup inside their home.
  10. Looping actions or idle actions.
  11. Add backpacks. Something more than parachutes.
  12. Add football helmets, grilled shades, headbands, fezes.
  13. Let players put on duffle bags and other restricted mission outfits.
  14. Let players purchase the wrestler masks.
  15. Let players color and choose the decals for clothes.
  16. Add earbuds.
  17. Bandana’s from bandana masks be separate if the player wants it that way.
  18. Flaming skull masks.
  19. Platform shoes.
Returning content:
  1. Having the little things like free mode money trucks, mechanic vehicle delivery, the fireworks that were placed on the ground, very rare crate drops that held unique items. I understand if this one is a little tricky because they were already in the game but removed, but they could be tweaked. The free mode money trucks could be put in as a free mode event where players go around and try to make the most money off of robbing the trucks (besides, last time I checked there was a tattoo related to robbing trucks, and me being a bit of an "I must have everything" kind of person I feel incomplete to not be able to get that tattoo). For the mechanic delivery, in the vehicle interaction submenu options, it could be set to if the player wants their car personally delivered or just teleported near them. For the fireworks placed on the ground, I would just like to see that re-added into the game, I never got the chance to get any before they were taken but I'm sure I and many, many other players would be thrilled to have them back. As for the rare items that were rewarded from crates, I propose that either the crates be added back with the rare items and past holiday items, or have the items be purchasable but extremely expensive, possibly both.
  2. Bring back assassinating targets for Lester in freeroam.
  3. Add climbing mechanics from older GTA titles and possibly advance it with parkour.
Radio:
  1. When someone has a self-radio, make it so that its not affected when someone changes the radio or if you're the passenger and the driver doesn't have a self-radio station let the passenger listen to theirs, also, I always find that it's never the station that is picked for my moc/avenger, property radio, and sometimes my own personal cars. Additionally, make an option for self-radio in the clubhouse jukebox.
  2. If the player has headphones on then have music playing while they are on foot and in the interaction menu the player could change the radio stations.
  3. Let self-radio play in stores.
  4. Let self-radio play in the nightclub.
Pause menu:
  1. In the report options of a player, allow there to be more specific modder report reasons, for example, some option in a "Modding" tab would be: god mode, money dropping, blame killing, prop spawning, mass killing, organization kicking (where a modder kicks someone from their own organization and makes them wait the 30 or so minutes). Additionally, when a player dies and they are in the menu trying to report, they're kicked out of the pause menu when they die, so when a player dies they can't report, and when a modder is blowing everyone up constantly they cant report them. Have the menu stay open even when the player dies. Also, let players report modding from the social club in case they are kicked by the modder and didn't get a chance to report them.
  2. Let players throw away money so that they don't have modded money.
  3. Let players view how long their friends have been offline.
Business benefits:
  1. Cargo running is slow to fill 5 large warehouses so maybe there would be an option to fill the warehouse in large chunks, say by 10, the player and associates would go find either a semi-truck across the map and go retrieve it facing aggressive enemies the whole way back, or possibly 5 vans with 2 crates inside each van. Another option could be to fill the warehouse completely by going around all of San Andreas grabbing semi-trucks with 10 crates, moving trucks with 5 crates, and small vans with 2 crates inside them, all adding up to 110 crates and the final crate after collecting the 110 crates could be one of the 6 rare special cargo crates. However the buy option would be extremely expensive like perhaps 500 thousand to 1 million depending on how full the warehouse is already, if the warehouse isn't completely empty then the chance to get a rare special cargo would be reduced but if there are already a couple rare cargo in the warehouse then the chance to get another one would only be reduced slightly.
  2. Have an option for the player to hire NPC associates or prospects, they would have tiers like the strike teams in the facility, level 1 would be free, level 2 would cost $5000 an associate, and level 3 would cost $10000 an associate, and they would be paid half their hiring price periodically. That way players don't have to go from session to session hoping someone joins them. The NPCs would be able to help fight and pick up separate cargo crates, they wouldn't be able to take cargo vehicles, they would attack other players based on a setting the player would have for them like the targeting system in the interaction menu, they could target strangers, attackers, or everyone. They would always be by the player's side and get into whatever vehicle they get in. They also wouldn't be able to take sell vehicles by themselves so players would have to hope to get something like the titan or tug if they're full of NPC associates.
  3. Make securoserv associate vehicles like the enduro and the dune buggy CEO vehicles too.
  4. Possibly a progress bar or something in clubhouses and offices to let players know when they've filled the property with a product, cargo, or money "Clutter" so that they don't have to guess and check.
  5. Let CEOs invite members from an mc.
  6. Business to manufacture new weapons for the player and make ammo.
  7. In an organization or mc, if friendly fire is on let members lock on to each other.
  8. Ability to choose organization color if not already taken.
  9. Increase VIP/CEO/pres limit.
  10. Allow players to customize the look and clothing of NPCs in business properties, like the bartenders, mechanics, and assistants.
  11. Allow multiple CEO work missions to be active at the same time.
Crews:
  1. Let players join more than 5 crews.
  2. Give crew leaders the ability to change the crew name when editing their crew, and crew leaders also don't have to level up to 100 in their own crew.
  3. Crew emblems on more clothes.
  4. Let players put crew emblems on guns.
  5. Crew emblems in more properties.
Map expansion/immersion:
  1. Possibly add a small island to the right side of the map. Not as small as the one avi Schwartzman hides on but not as big as a whole map, something with similar beauty and just a bit smaller than great Inagua island from the assassins creed: black flag game. It could be a base for the naval DLC, or maybe if the pirate ship gets added, this is where it would be stored.
  2. Open up fast food places. Like in previous GTA titles, the player was allowed to walk into a restaurant and purchase food to regain health. Possibly also add in fast food vendors around the map for a hot dog or something to quickly replenish health, I understand we have snacks but I feel that it would improve the game, and what if we've run out of snacks?
  3. Open pier carnival games.
  4. More carnival rides, like the drop tower.
  5. Let players buy snacks from places other than the office, facility, or stores.
  6. Let players buy clothes and tattoos from shops along Vespucci beach and on the pier.
  7. Make arcade machines playable.
  8. Add ladders to more buildings to climb on or add a grappling hook.
  9. Let players rob safes in the back of stores.
  10. Have it snow more often.
Annoyance fixes:
  1. Don't force players into cargo warehouses when a crate or cargo vehicle is delivered.
  2. Make an option in mors mutual insurance to claim all cars from all garages
  3. Make older accessories wearable with newer accessories. For example, if I put on original earrings with a lowriders chain, it will remove the chain or earrings
  4. Let players rearrange bicycles in garage bicycle racks.
  5. Allow certain contacts to be blocked from calling or messaging. For example, block ljt from calling about businesses, or block Simeon from giving players a list of cars to bring to him.
  6. Allow the player to disable gang attacks.
  7. Allow players to call the car that's in the moc from office.
  8. Assisted havok landing.
  9. Add an option to stop players from changing the tv or radio.
  10. Let players acknowledge new options in clothing stores and mod shops instead of having to scroll through everything to get rid of the stars.
  11. When exiting a vehicle, don't force the last selected weapon in the vehicle to be the selected weapon on foot.
  12. Let players run in their nightclubs.
Weapons:
  1. Let players buy MK.II ammo in the interaction menu, but they would be very expensive.
  2. Melee weapons on guns (bayonet).
  3. Allow the player to select multiple bomb types at the same time, for example, the incendiary and gas bomb could be selected, so the bomb would create fire and gas. They would only be able to pick one of the two explosive types: explosive or cluster. If they picked three it could be an incendiary gas cluster bomb.
  4. Knuckle dusters on both hands.
  5. Let players buy molotovs, the railgun, the stun gun, and airstrike flares (doesn't bring airstrike)
  6. Lasers on weapons.
  7. Flashbang, decoy, smoke grenades.
  8. Dual wielding pistols.
  9. Burst fire options on certain guns.
  10. MK.III weapons would have branches.
  11. Throwing weapons: ninja star, throwing knives, tomahawk.
  12. MK.II melee weapons or just ammunation upgrades: spikes on the bat, flaming bat, and maybe projectiles like baseballs.
  13. Add flamethrower, a heavy fire ax, sledgehammer, small shields for melee fights, sword, boxing gloves, crossbow/bow, kukri, chainsaw.
  14. Add small sentry turrets that a player can call in for 1 minute before it self-destructs.
  15. MK.II explosives: bouncy, cluster types.
  16. Add cane and umbrella melee weapons that would also change the walk of the character to include the weapon.
  17. Paintball gun for harmless firefights with friends.
  18. Assault rifle with a grenade launcher attachment.
  19. Emp grenades that would disable some explosives like sticky bombs, and jammers that could be placed on surfaces, including cars that would disable explosives until destroyed when shot or player dies.
  20. MK.II tear gas with deadlier gas upgrades and canister upgrades like sticky, on impact.
  21. MK.II grenade launcher with special grenades with fire, gas, cluster, and sticky, or on impact grenades.
  22. Pulse detectors on guns, like thermal scopes but detecting heartbeats.
  23. Add small drones that can be deployed on the ground or in the air and can be upgraded.
  24. Ability to call in an equipment drop that has an upgradable riot shield and normal/MK.II-III ammo.
  25. Add a device that holds multiple explosives that would activate with proximity, timer, or manual and launch 6 small upgraded explosives.
  26. Add a helmet or scope that would allow players to detect electronics and explosives.
  27. Add a sort of mini anti-air device that would explode rockets and grenade launcher grenades shot at players.
  28. Stun grenades and mines that would act like a taser.
  29. Small glass shields on guns.
  30. Crossbow bolts with smoke or tear gas.
  31. Scanner for footprints, in freemode it wouldn't matter unless the enemy used off the radar, it would be useful in deathmatch.
  32. Multiple explosive upgrades: on impact cluster flashbang.
  33. Allow players to purchase all ammo when in the interaction menu > inventory > ammo section.
  34. Make the programmable AR purchasable
  35. LMG Bipods
  36. Make the golf club hide-able in the weapons lockers.
Vehicles:
  1. Adding multiple modifications on vehicles, for example, the bodhi has options for vents, side steps, and headlight grills. I'd like it if I had the option to choose all three instead of just one.
  2. If you're reluctant to let us own more properties, then make some of the unpurchasable and rare cars like the Phoenix or manana purchasable so that players won't feel too bad about selling them to make room for newer cars.
  3. Add gogo monkey blista compact, space docker, and the blimp.
  4. Let players customize or at the very least change the colors on pegasus vehicles (i know planes were allowed to be customized in the smuggler's run update, I'm referring to land-based pegasus vehicles).
  5. Add rims that spin, like if there were a fidget spinner on the outside of the rim. Let tire designs be available on any type of rim, for example, the white walls of lowriders rims being on muscle tires.
  6. Make plane windows tintable
  7. Add more rims from cars with unique rims.
  8. Roof options on the ruiner.
  9. Assisted yacht helicopter landing.
  10. Able to call bicycles from office or mechanic.
  11. Speed racer type of cars with jump jacks and unique weapons.
  12. Hot wheels type cars.
  13. In the vehicle remote functions, let players roll their cars windows up and down.
  14. Allow players to upgrade and customize the car that comes with the anti-aircraft guns.
  15. Pegasus semi-trucks with trailers.
  16. Add zeppelins and war blimps, like from guns of Icarus.
  17. In garages or workshops, place a spinning display platform for a car to be showcased.
  18. Let players transfer cars between garages without manually driving them.
  19. Let players change the avenger propeller light color.
  20. Colored sun strips on cars with sponsored sunstrips only.
  21. Purchasable trailers for cars like the boat or generator trailers.
  22. Let players put spoilers on the ramp buggy.
  23. Let players modify the other 3 special vehicles in the vehicle warehouse.
  24. Make the Speedo, Mule, and Pounder Custom more explosive resistant.
Contacts:
  1. Ability to call Lester and have him make another players phone ring and not able to shoot before ending the call would take about 3 seconds to end it.
Job creator:
  1. Make pipes in stunt races that can go underwater.
