Perhaps relevant: Dr. H (P7) and Diane (P16) both talked about Cooper from years ago in a similar manner. Dr. H said Cooper was 'checking in on' Audrey in her coma, implying that's when a rape took place. Diane of course told about a rape on her couch. Dr. H: "..and he made that strange face again." Diane: "..and his face.." In P7, Gordon told Diane that seeing Cooper involved something she that knew 'about.' This could suggest a storyline where Diane represents a 'Dr. Judy' (like a 'Judge Judy') who attended to Cooper years ago, in a storyline minus Dr. H. On the flip side, it could put a version of Dr. Jacoby in Warden Murphy's spot (maybe blackmailed by a patient) who has a dog named 'Murphy' (dog legs), taken in P12 ("we could shoot him in the legs...kidnap him"), alt to the warden's shooting].
In P17, Gordon tells Albert (and Tammy) about 'Judy,' which Gordon had kept secret from his close associate Albert for 25 years. Hawk and Frank also are close in S3, but Hawk doesn't tell about the symbol (for Frank's own good).
In P12, Frank goes to Ben's office and gets the 315 key, a memento for Harry. In P7, after MrC and Ray were released following the blackmail, an Andy-looking guard brought them to the cheap rental car and he said the keys were in the car. There was also a 'friend' in the glove department. In P2, MrC is driving a Mercedes, assumed to be George's. MrC also had George's gun, which he used to shoot Phyllis and frame George. This frame storyline (MrC/George, George's car and gun) may be a different version of the blackmail storyline (MrC&Ray/Murphy, the rental car and 'friend' gun).
Since the Yankton guard who said "the keys are in the car" resembles Andy, it might follow that there's a storyline where a version of Andy blackmails someone behind a desk and gets the keys to a car, alternative to the P7 (blackmail) and P12 ('memento' key) scenarios. So a person behind a desk gives this Andy his car keys, like how Ben gave Frank the key and how Murphy agreed to provide MrC the rental (the '2 in 1' might explain MrC and Ray in P7 (murphy scenario) vs just MrC in P1 (george scenario). Is MrC in P1 linked to Andy? His scene comes right after Lucy at the front desk.
In P17, Gordon told Albert that he had been keeping a secret about Judy for 25 years. Perhaps an alt scenario is that a version of Gordon told a version of Albert a secret about Judy (variation of the P17 scene), information which this Albert used against Gordon. This would put group together two 'Gs' (Gordon and George; information used against them) and two 'As' (Albert and Andy; blackmailers). The MrC in P1 may be 'AA.' In P14, Freddie tells his work buddy James a story about how he snapped the hardware store clerk's 'gregory.' This could link to Gordon telling Albert (years ago) about something he did to 'Judy' (maybe a tall tale?) which this Albert uses against him. [GG vs AA]
In P2, Phyllis told George that Bill knew about their affair. Put Lucy in Phyllis's spot, Gordon in George's spot, and Andy in Bill's spot. This Andy was in prison for some reason and like MrC would blackmail himself out (because he knows information) [Gordon and Lucy establish/reestablish a connection in P14. In S1, a cocky Albert came into the station with a lit cig and called Lucy 'curly.' This might represent a 'Dick Tremayne' version of Gordon who started a fling with Lucy]. Remove the love triangle scenario and an imprisoned Andy/Albert (AA) might know something else, some dirt on Gordon/George (GG), who has a nice car, which this Andy would get. [In P13, the Mitchum brothers give 'boss' Bushnell a new BMW. The cocky, smoking version of Gordon may be parallel to Bushnell (boss in Philadelphia offices, or another place), who gave his keys and car to 'AA']. Summary: AA blackmails GG, about 'Judy.'
[In P7, although 'Joe McCluskey' is used to verify that MrC knows what he claims to know, it could also suggest in a closely related storyline that MrC got information from a Joe. Phil in P5 says "damn good joe, huh?" to Cooper, Gordon in P12 says "it a good one." There could be a 'flip side' Gordon version of Joe M, who told MrC whatever dirt he knows about the warden, suggesting a disguised interaction between Gordon and Cooper, perhaps linked to the P12 hotel scene and the P14 Paris dream sequence (such that the two met in a Paris hotel, or something). In P5, MrC gets food from a guard named "Warren" (one letter away from 'warden'), which could also represent this interaction (and be alt to Ray getting the owl ring from a guard; the name 'Gordon Murphy' has a nice ring to it, this could be the name of the guard that gave Ray the ring per his claim in P13, somewhat different than the informant 'Ray Monroe' mentioned by Gordon Cole in P17 ). There could also be a 'Joe M.' at the casino ("Joe, you watch his one") that crossed paths with Cooper at the slots - perhaps there is a 'prison' ('lair') in the casino basement and this Joe (guard) had a conversation with Cooper behind Rodney's back, alternative to Candie and Sinclair's 'talk' about the weather (laye'lair')].

Is There Meaning Behind the Piano Keys?

Early in the film, K enters Sapper's home and checks the piano to find a sock. The scene itself moves the plot forward, but it's referenced later at the casino. Joe sees a piano and tries the same key. As there's nothing hidden it produces a note.
